Silver Sands #245A Resort by RVA

A units are very very small rooms cluitered with kitchen items in a poor attempt to make it appear they're providing more. Bed was broken when we arrived and broke again during our stay. Queen beds shouldn't be supported by only 4 boards...there should be a box spring. Only redeeming quality was location and access to beach.

It was an excellent location with beach access that was basically private. Very few people even on days when the public beach was super packed. The resort had umbrellas and wagons for use and it was only a few steps from our room to the beach!

Property was on the beach with beach chairs and umbrellas provided. The unit could have been cleaner. The widow AC cooled the room but was loud and ran constantly. The staff were wonderful and very helpful.

I was a little nervous when I saw some of the recent reviews saying the room wasn’t clean, but honestly this place was so nice! It’s not a brand new resort or anything, but if you’re just looking for a relaxing stay at the beach, this place is perfect! One review said there was mold in the shower, there’s not…the grout is just a little discolored and older, but it’s perfectly fine. I will definitely go back and rebook this resort again someday. The pool was really nice and I love that they provide beach chairs, umbrellas, pool noodles, etc., it made relaxing by the water so much more comfortable!

245A was a nice size room for us. The shower and microwave were dirty. The shower head had hardly any pressure. The first morning we made coffee there was still coffee in it from the previous person.

Second time staying here. Loved it so much the first time that I had to come back. RIGHT on the water with it's own private beach access. That alone is worth the price of admission. The rooms have everything you need down to plates and silverware, which is clutch if you're getting takeout. The room is clean and the property is very clean. Everyone I spoke to at the front desk was helpful and very kind. I already want to go back!

The bed pictured in the details is not correct. Blanket had stain(photo attached) It was a joke. I think inflate-able mattress would have been an improvement. There was no support and when we laid down the bed basically folded into a V shape. We suffered through 1 night of the 4 booked. Got email from manager day after we left. No reply after with resolution or re-fund. There was a blood stain on blanket which i assume was from past guest as the frame corners were very sharp.

They are still recovering a bit from the storms past but longboat is a great local get away and this little place was very quiet and nice.

This was a great unit. Had everything we needed. I just wish the bed was larger. We did not sleep well because of the bed size!

The room was small as an efficiency, so I understand that but perhaps add 2 folding chairs and/or two folding trays. One of us had to sit on the bed to eat and the other sat on the chair and we had to use the counter as a table. Overall it was a great experience, just a minor inconvenience.

We were in one of the smaller motel like rooms. There are 3 main issues with this rooms 1.there is no sink to go with the kitchenette! You have to use the bathroom sink, which seemed quite unsanitary, we were glad we only booked 3 days due to this! 2. It is Very dark! Even if you open a window, no light ( the view is of hedgerows) 3. There is one chair in the room. The bed could be moved over several inches and a small table and chair could be added, which would have been very convenient. Overall I would stay at the resort again, but NOT in the motel type room. Front desk staff was very friendly and the resort was clean overall.
