In the historic center of Siena, prestigious and charming apartment on the top floor of the ancient Bichi Borghesi Palace still belonging to the owners family and a few steps from the famous Piazza Il Campo.
The apartment has an elevator up to the third floor, and a flight of stairs to access the independent entrance
Over the centuries the Palace has undergone several restorations and in particular, the house has been created from the attic of the building transformed into an originaland comfortable home. But the real highlight of the apartment is the roof terrace, a large and bright space right at the top of the house. At the end of '800 the roof has been conceived and built by one of the owner's ancestors as a photographic studio, so he makes the most of the extraordinary light of this area of Tuscany. The room overlooks two balconies, one of which boasts, in particular, a magnificent view of Siena: the Duomo, the Palazzo Pubblico and the Torre del Mangia, San Domenico and the hills of the Val d'Orcia up to Monte Amiata, literally they surround the viewer.
Despite being in the center, the house is rather silent.
Detailed description of the dwelling:
• 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin) two bathrooms. Equipped kitchen, dining area, large living room and two terraces overlooking the roofs of the city.

The house is on three levels and is perfectly furnished with antiques and antique furniture belonging to the family.
Given the layout of the property and the presence of stairs, we recommend the choice of this apartment for adult guests

First level: double bedroom (mis. Bed 160x190cm), double room (measures single bed 100x190cm each), two bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi and the other with a shower. The sleeping area has a parquet floor.

Mezzanine: the floor is in antique Tuscan terracotta finished in Iroko wood. The small, perfectly equipped kitchen opens onto a double height dining area whose ceiling is characterized by impressive exposed beams and bricks.

Third level: a gallery and a travertine staircase lead to the roof terrace, a spectacular room (20 square meters, 6 meters high at the peak of the roof) with a very high ceiling and beams, also visible here.
On the walls are portraits of the owner's ancestors and the windows that, facing a breathtaking view, are also natural paintings. The hall leads to two furnished terraces.

It’s all about location and view at this perfect spot in the heart of the Old City. A glass of wine while listening to church bells and looking out over the rooftops is a daily highlight. Parking outside the city walls is required and an additional cost to factor in, make sure to locate the escalator for easier luggage haul.

Great location and fantastic apartment. Not a place for little kids or for those that have problems with stairs. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace having a glass of wine with friends. Everything in Siena was close by.

The apartment was amazing. It had the most beautiful large terrace with views of the Piazza, the Torre, the Duomo. The terrace was very well maintained, with mature plants. We had snacks and wine there for the sunset (amazing). The apartment was nicely decorated and furnished, with art and books everywhere. It had a washing machine and a dishwasher. Pods were thoughtfully provided. The location was perfect, right near Piazza del Campo. The host was incredibly helpful, nice and gracious. It was the ideal property. We will stay there again in a heartbeat.

Our accommodations were perfect! Great location, very clean, wonderful views from large terrace that we played cards on and drank wine until very late at night, nice sound system, comfortable in everyway! Nicoletta was helpful and always available with any questions! You'll love it as we did! Ciao!

Where to start. The apartment was large, on multi levels, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two terraces, a kitchen, a large dining room, and a wonderful sunroom/living room. Beautifully furnished. Air-conditioned, located in the perfect places in the middle of the historic center, close to everything you need and want to see. The hostess was amazing, helpful, flexible and responsive to any questions we had. We will be back! I would not recommend bringing small children because there are many levels in the apartment and beautiful object that could easily be broken. One of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed in.

The home is exquisite. From the balcony look one way to see the Duomo, turn and it is the tower in Piazza del Campo, turn again an you see Basilica Cateriniana San Domenico. We stayed during the Palio - a time of pure magic in this midevil city. 800 year old traditions embraced by the local teenagers singing the songs beating the drums and swinging their contrata's flag. The apartment is beautiful, there are stairs but they are manageable. The host is always available and helpful. I recommend this apartment for a magical stay in Siena.
