Stayed Jan 1, 1Our 15th (?) year of our two families getting together in Easter holidays for long walks, cycles, games, and family meals. As the kids have got older they have dipped in and out depending on university, other holidays, work commitments etc. but everyone is clear they want to keep coming back to this beautiful old house with family connections from the 1950's. One of the main charms of Old Blair is how comfortable and relaxed it is. It is in lovely condition but not so smart that it lacks character. It is our special home when we visit

Stayed Jan 1, 1My friends and I had a magnificent stay at Old Blair. The property was beautiful, well-equipped, and a great setting for time together as friends. We mainly wanted to use it as a base for walking adventures, and it fitted the bill perfectly. Nothing better than a day in the hills followed by a retreat to a cozy fire. Also, the team were really accommodating, allowing us to change our check-in/check-out times to suit those of us taking the sleeper train. All in all, I'd definitely come back here. A wonderful stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our 14th year at Old Blair. The Lodge was well equipped and very comfortable. Upgrades over the past couple of years have improved the kitchen although diminished the number of surfaces available for catering. The lock in the 2nd floor bathroom needs replacing. Highly recommended accommodation

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have been staying at Old Blair for about 6 years now and always thoroughly enjoy it. The setting behind the Castle is superb and easy access to the Atholl Hotel and House of Bruar! The sport at West Hand and the fishing on the Garry and the Tilt are excellent. We will be back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A return visit to Old Blair for a big birthday celebration- all was lovely- liked the new kitchen - however there was a stain on the top floor carpet which took 3 days to get an explanation for (cleaning fluid spill by housekeeper) and the dish washer ceased functioning after 2 days. Apart from that all was well.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a wonderful stay at old Blair. The accommodation is spacious and is very well equipped to cater for 12 people. The beds are comfortable and the water is always piping hot. Old Blair is very close to all amenities and there are wonderful walks just outside the door. Tesco delivered our food to the door just after we arrived. We were lucky enough to be staying when the weather was wonderful and we were able to eat outside in the sunshine on most days. The young children who stayed really loved the adventure playground near the castle and the old dog loved lazing around on the grass. It was a very relaxing week and we will definitely be back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Old Blair Lodge was perfect to accommodate the family who had travelled for the wedding at Blair Castle. We were able to have family dinners and entertain many friends in the dinning room. The groom, best man and groomsmen all dressed and walked down to the castle as did the rest of the family. It was a wonderful venue and being able to stay so close in such a superb setting made this a special very memorable occasion. Thank you Old Blair.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969For what we wanted, this was an absolutely superb venue and location! A classic old property within the castle grounds, it is very well maintained and has everything you need while being in a beautiful location, nestled at the foot of the hills. Plenty of space inside and out, everything was easy and everything was good quality throughout our visit. Granted, the weather was brilliant during our time, which I suppose adds some gloss too!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have been coming to Old Blair for a while now, annually with friends and children, always a joy. Very comfortable beds and warm duvets and lovely fluffy pillows. Bathrooms well appointed, lashings of hot water, and heating when you want to use it. dining room is perfect for gatherings , sitting room lovely and warm. New Kitchen which has been put in for this year, really nice but could do with an old, just a small table to cut food on with maybe an inset marble top to cut on as there is no spot to do that without potentially destroying the new formica top, where stuff is put on, and no room, but it is very functional otherwise. Maybe sharpen the knives ! maybe a couple more tea towels only 3 available, had to be washed every day. Bins now sorted outside which is great as before bottles were just outside back door, now there is the big bin! so much more orderly. Generally it was noted by us that any refurbishment required has been done, there really isnt anything we could fault. Hopefully we will be allowed back next year.
