The apartment is located in the La Mairena area in the hills above Elviria, Marbella. At 400 m (1300 ft) above sea level, the village offers stunning views towards the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Mediterranean Sea, the Rock of Gibraltar and the African coast.

La Mairena is a green and quiet area with a beautiful natural setting, at a 10 min. drive to the beautiful beaches (famous Nikki Beach) and 15 min. drive into the center of Marbella. Shopping facilities and restaurants are down the hill in Elviria.

It is a Unesco protected biosphere with great ecological importance as there is a native cork oak forest with beautiful trails full of wildlife like foxes, wild boar and deer.

The Hofsaess Tennis Academy, which has coached grand slam winners including Steffi Graf and Sánchez Vicario, is at a 5 min. walk. The Academy’s tennis courts (four clay, five hardcourt, and two with floodlights), gym and cafe are available for use at a very low price, starting from 10 euro.

Adjacent to the tennis academy and at walking distance is the popular Kudu Bar and Restaurant, which is open all year round. They serve real nice food at a very reasonable price. Very laid back atmosphere. They have a lovely terrace with views over the valley.

The El Soto de Marbella development in the village has a 9 hole practice golf course, gym, bar and restaurant. Non residents of El Soto are welcome in the bar and restaurant, which hosts live entertainment throughout the year.

There are a further five golf courses within a few minutes drive of La Mairena. La Cala Golf, on the road to Mijas has three courses, and the Santa Maria and Greenlife Golf Clubs are in Elviria.

Our apartment is very accessible and offers several transportation options for easy access.

From Málaga Airport (AGP), you can reach the property by car, train, or bus. Driving via the A-7 highway takes approximately 20 minutes. Follow signs for the A-7 towards Algeciras/Cádiz, take exit 222 for Benalmádena/Arroyo de la Miel, and continue to Calle Canarias.

If you prefer public transport, take the Cercanías C1 train from Málaga Airport to Benalmádena-Arroyo de la Miel station, which takes about 18 minutes. From the station, it’s a 5-minute taxi ride or a 20-minute walk to the apartment. Alternatively, you can take a direct bus (route A) from the airport to Benalmádena Costa, with a journey time of around 30 minutes.

From Benalmádena-Arroyo de la Miel Train Station, the property is about 2 km away, a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute taxi ride. Local buses (lines 103, 110, 112) also connect the train station to nearby stops close to the property.

If you`re arriving by bus, the Benalmádena Bus Station is also approximately 2 km from the apartment, which takes about 20 minutes to walk or 5 minutes by taxi. Local buses from the station (lines 103, 110, 112) will bring you close to the property as well.

For local transportation, the bus network provides connections to various parts of Benalmádena, nearby towns, and attractions, with the nearest bus stop just a short walk from the apartment. The Cercanías C1 train line offers convenient access to Málaga city and Fuengirola, with the nearest station being Benalmádena-Arroyo de la Miel.

Taxis are readily available throughout Benalmádena, and a taxi stand is located near the property.

Additionally, several car rental services are available at Málaga Airport and in Benalmádena for those who prefer to explore the Costa del Sol at their own pace.
