Santa Monica Garden Beach Bungalow Private, Quiet, and Steps from the Sand

Great stay, wonderful location.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience staying at this beach bungalow. The accommodations were excellent for the two of us (she took the bed and I took the daybed). The gas burning space heater was more than sufficient for the chilly nights we were there. We really liked the decor and style of the place and it is literally one block to walk to the beach. The host was absolutely incredible and very friendly. She took care of everything we needed, including the parking pass for the street. We would definitely stay here again!

We truly enjoyed staying at this quaint beach bungalow while moving our daughter into college. The owner is attentive and available without being overbearing. She answered all of questions quickly and even offered some tips about the area. The inside is adorable and the small kitchen very handy to prepare a meal or two- coffee maker, toaster, range, microwave, small fridge, everything we needed. There were thoughtful touches like an extra disposable mask, and fresh ground coffee. The parking on the street was easy. We never had to walk far. Also when you step out the front and look right you see the beach very close! It would literally take 3 minutes to walk there and enjoy the ocean though we didn't have time because of constant new student orientation at the college!

Hosts were the best! The bungalow was very clean and comfortable! Location is incredible! Would stay here again and highly recommend if you’re planning a trip to the area!

Cottage was clean and comfortable. Host was welcoming and had everything stocked for us upon arrival. Overall a good experience near the beach!

Great walkable location. Cute vintage vibe. It was perfect for us and our teen. So many good restaurants a mere two blocks away.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal--one block from Santa Monica beach, two blocks to multitudes of restaurants on Main Street, and less than a mile from pier / promenade.The property was just as described. The bungalow itself was quaint and private. The furnishings and provisions were all comfortable and of high quality.The host, T'mimah, was very responsive and attentive. She even went above and beyond to ensure we had early access to beach towels, beach chairs and parking permit prior to the property being ready for check-in.

I was delighted with this property and its owner. Traveling with your teenage daughter can easily create anxiety in a mother but we were safe and well cared for in this space. The cottage is adorable, a hidden gem, just up from the beautiful Santa Monica Beach. Our owner arranged for parking passes for our rental car and we found street parking every time we arrived “home”. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen perfectly stocked. The decor was bright and cheery and I love a clawfoot tub. We were given access to beach chairs and a boogie board which made my daughter and I especially happy on the beach. Really, great property! I almost hate to share cuz once the secrets out I may not be able to rent it next time. ;)

This was a charming space with a great location close to the beach and lots of great restaurants and bakeries, and T'mimah was a warm, attentive, and welcoming host. We would be super excited to stay here again in the future.

This is our 2nd stay. We brought my mother in law to stay with us. We loved our welcome package, which happened to be some of our favorite snacks. Our stay was amazing to say the least. Very quiet, safe beautiful little Bungaloo. We loved watching the squirrels and cats being friends in the beautiful trees and plats. Everything you need, it is available. Plenty towels for bathing and the ocean, a small icechest, chairs, shampoo, conditioner, blowdryer, full washer and dryer. The location is the PERFECT spot. 3 min walk to the beach, Farmer's Market, bike rentals. 5 min walk to a Market Liquor Store and some amazing resturants. We loved the reminder messages from our host about the farmers market. My mother in law is excited to bring my father in law. We cannot wait to come back.

A great little spot just about a half a block from the beach. Great location, easy parking. My pup and I had a wonderful stay here. The place was clean and charming, with stunning wood floors and cabinetry, and a beautiful clawfoot tub! It’s a bright open space with a lot of windows, which is great for looking at all of the foliage and friendly critters skittering around! The host, T’mimah, was responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Santa Monica or nearby locales!

Wonderful location, fantastic host, and a comfortable stay. Enjoyed the proximity to the beach, pier, restaurants, farmer’s market (Sunday morn). Beach bungalow is tucked away with everything needed for a great getaway.

Our host was very friendly and helpful during our stay. She was able to recommend dining options and provided a very nice complimentary food basket. The rental was nicely decorated, clean and was perfect for our stay. Shopping and dining within walking distance, as was the beach. Quiet neighborhood.

Great location! Walkable to beach and shops. Host was communicative when I was struggling with the gas heater and was able to help me troubleshoot. The space was well stocked with toiletries and appliances. Although we didn’t use it, She also had beach towels, a cooler, and an ice machines for a beach day which I thought was very thoughtful.My only complaint is that one of the beds is sunken in the middle so would be cautious if you have back problems but that wouldn’t stop me from rebooking. I’d 100% explore this option again if I were to come back to Santa Monica.

Great location within walking distance to the beach , and restaurants and stores on Main Street. Our host was very responsive to our questions. The bungalow was clean and nicely appointed. We were welcomed with a delicious goody basket. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful property and wonderful host! So close to the beach and easy walking distance. The host was even so kind as to leave figs for us that they grew from the garden on site! I highly recommend this lovely beach escape! Five stars all the way and would love to stay again! Soon!

Perfect area for our stay with our daughter. Wouldn’t stay with more than three adults as it is small but the walk to the beach is short and perfect distance between Venice and Santa Monica Pier. WiFi worked well but we didn’t have cell service inside the bungalow so had to walk out to talk on phone if needed. Communication with owner was good and all questions were answered. Don’t forget to move your car Tuesday mornings!

My family really enjoyed our three night stay in Santa Monica. The bungalow fit all of us quite well and the location is excellent for access to the beach. We hope to return at some point.

Quick getaway from San Diego and we loved the easy beach access for our two preteen kids.

My friend and I were visiting my son for a long weekend. It was the perfect place to access the beach, wonderful restaurants and shops. The property was charming, well kept and exactly what we were looking for! The property owner was extremely nice and available when needed. The location was unbelievable! We had a great trip!

The location of the charming bungalow was perfect, and the owner was very nice. Because I am 65+, it would have been nice to have a comfortable arm chair for reading rather than the desk.

Rental was charming, clean, and well stocked with what we needed for our stay. Only a minute’s walk to the beach but still pretty quiet. We slept so well. The beds were quite comfortable. We will definitely return if we visit Santa Monica in the future.

Stating in this VRBO, we walked every day to the beach, restaurants, Santa Monica Pier, and more. The property location is perfect and a very short walk to the beach. We did not need (nor want) a car our entire stay.

The location is unbeatable! Very close to the beach, which is exactly what my daughter wanted. The owner also has beach chair and board to use which is a bonus. Owner is very prompt in answering any questions you have. The room decoration is what we like as well. I would have given a 5 star overall if the room can smell a little bit fresher.
