Stayed Apr 9, 2026Mica and Phil are great hosts, easy to communicate with, and provide excellent arrival and departure help. There is a reserved parking spot, which is a huge benefit in MB! The Surf Room is an excellent option in Manhattan Beach. It is a huge studio - the entire ground floor below a very large home with Q bed, small kitchen, large bathroom, tv lounge area and reading table. There is an outdoor patio for relaxing. 12th St is only 9 short blocks away an the beach is only 3. The Surf Room was the perfect weekend stay for an adult couple. We hope to be back!

Stayed Mar 5, 2025Walking distance to the heart of Manhattan Beach and its wonderful shops and restaurants. Simple access to the beach and the strand which are just down the hill. Nice outdoor area to enjoy a book and coffee.

Stayed Feb 26, 2025This is a great place from which to explore Manhattan Beach. Only a block from the beach and an easy walk to all the great restaurants. We especially enjoyed sitting on the patio looking out over the waves. The hosts were very welcoming and provided great communication.

Stayed Feb 7, 2025I had a wonderful experience staying at Phil and Mica’s Surf Room. I traveled by myself, and I found the accommodations and location perfect for my weekend in Manhattan Beach. I was able to walk to all the nearby restaurants and bars. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities I needed. Phil and Mica were excellent hosts, and I would happily stay at their place again.

Stayed Dec 11, 2024Great location to beach. Nice outdoor area and beautiful flowers surrounding. There was no dishwasher or stove if you were staying for a long time. Refrigerator didn’t have a freezer. Nice place for a short stay however.

Stayed Oct 20, 2024I had a lovely five-night stay in The Surf Room and highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in Manhattan Beach. Everything about the property was wonderful - the location, the decor, how it was equipped, etc. In addition, Phil and Mica were great hosts. I have no suggestions regarding anything that could be improved.
