Access to the beach and bike paths was excellence. Phil and Mica were very responsive to all text and emails.

Super convenient to downtown.. Great to have bikes to use.

We had an excellent weekend trip, thanks to the perfect location and great hosts. Highly recommend.

Walking distance to the heart of Manhattan Beach and its wonderful shops and restaurants. Simple access to the beach and the strand which are just down the hill. Nice outdoor area to enjoy a book and coffee.

This is a great place from which to explore Manhattan Beach. Only a block from the beach and an easy walk to all the great restaurants. We especially enjoyed sitting on the patio looking out over the waves. The hosts were very welcoming and provided great communication.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Phil and Mica’s Surf Room. I traveled by myself, and I found the accommodations and location perfect for my weekend in Manhattan Beach. I was able to walk to all the nearby restaurants and bars. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities I needed. Phil and Mica were excellent hosts, and I would happily stay at their place again.

Great location to beach. Nice outdoor area and beautiful flowers surrounding. There was no dishwasher or stove if you were staying for a long time. Refrigerator didn’t have a freezer. Nice place for a short stay however.

I had a lovely five-night stay in The Surf Room and highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in Manhattan Beach. Everything about the property was wonderful - the location, the decor, how it was equipped, etc. In addition, Phil and Mica were great hosts. I have no suggestions regarding anything that could be improved.

The property is gorgeous and the views are amazing!! Phil met us upon arrival and was extremely gracious and walked us through how to operate everything when we first checked in. My only issue was there was no AC and my wife and I could not get good sleep bc there’s no airflow bc only one window that opens an inch and no AC pretty much made sleeping impossible so we left a day early so we could get some rest but the property was beautiful and Phil was great.

GREAT location and beautiful, welcoming beachfront home!! Short downhill walk to the beach, short bike ride to Hermosa Beach, easy walk to downtown Manhattan Beach, and short Uber rides to Santa Monica Pier, SoFi Stadium, and LAX. Many reviews mention the lack of AC which concerned us at first, but we quickly realized that it wasn’t needed. With an open window/door and fan, the cool beach air kept the downstairs unit very comfortable during the day and evening (mid-June). We enjoyed coffee on the private patio each morning. Communication with Phil and Mica was very quick and easy and they were both very genuine and accommodating. All items needed for a day at the beach were provided (chairs, towels, umbrella, cooler, bikes, etc), which was very appreciated! The small kitchenette had all we needed to make a quick continental style breakfast and lunch. We will definitely be making a return visit to the Surf Room for another amazing Cali beach vacation in the near future.

We were in town for a wedding in Palos Verdes and to visit LA. The location was perfect for getting to the wedding, the airport, and anything else in the LA area. Manhattan Beach was better than we imagined with lots of activity, beautiful beaches, volleyball, surfing, and good dining. I got burned with a parking tiicket for the street cleaner, but that was my fault. We wished there were cooking facilities, but that was just a minor issue, overall.
