There are simply some places and some kinds of adventures that make us want to fall in love...Serendipity is definitely one of them!
We loved our stay at Serendipity! Vicki and Jeff could not have been more helpful and kind! They were super communicative and ready to help with any issue, offer advice, and provide information. For example, We were unable to find an available rental car prior to arriving (make sure you book early!) and Jeff was able to find us one! The apartment itself was spacious and airy with a large wrap around veranda. There are beautiful views of the sea on one side and the forested mountainside on the other. We were lulled to sleep each night listening to the distant roar of the sea and the whistling frogs. We also were SO grateful for the starter food supplies provided… very thoughtful! We would definitely return here ❤️
One word sums up a stay at Serendipity - divine. From waking up to the breeze blowing over you and the sound of waves to making coffee and transferring to the hammock to watch the sunrise. That is a perfect start to any day. The home is so clean and comfortable with everything you could need during your stay. Great selection of books and magazines and the large amount of treats and drinks Jeff and Vicki left kept me going until I could get to a supermarket. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill which will take you to Speightstown and from there you can get all over the island so not having a car was no issue whatsoever. Jeff and Vickie are always on hand if you need anything. Loved being part of the small community of Bathsheba and exploring the surrounding area. Coming back to Serendipity at the end of the day made the experience perfect.
Our second time staying at this property. We absolutely love it and can’t wait to return.
Comfortable and cozy with the best shower/water pressure in the Caribbean. The hosts were incredibly helpful as it was our first time to Barbados. A must stay!
We had a great time and hosts - Jeff and Vicki - were available when we had questions (where can we get coffee filters?). We were there for a week and could have stayed longer. Property is very tastefully decorated. Deck, hammock were the hit. Sitting everyday with coffee watching surf. If you want a quiet, peaceful get a way for two this is an ideal spot. Monkeys in the yard. Always a breeze on east (Atlantic) side. The beaches are beautiful but dangerous swimming. We found a couple of places right at end of the street where we could get in and enjoy. There is not a lot of night life. We could walk along water on the old railroad bed to Roundhouse (restaurant) and Bathsheba. Some of the roads are rough, but we found that there are several ways to get to your destination and they all take about the same amount of time. Your host can give you some advice for driving. Host provides information about local restaurants, markets etc. Buy your veggies and fruit at the roadside stands. We will definitely be back. Fritz and Beth
