Stayed Dec 15, 2024This cute and spacious aprtment is quaint, has comfortable beds, nice linens, and HOT water. The kitchen is suitable for simple cooking, especially with the easy proximity to fresh produce, a butcher, a nice market with hard to find items, convenience stores and an excellent fish vendor directly across the street. There are vendors strolling that part of town, day and night, hollering about their offerings, from donuts and tamales, to brooms and fresh flowers. The beach and Malecon are an easy, mind the crazy sidewalks, stroll just under a mile away. Make sure and find the Rio Cuale Islands with both lush gardens and weekend markets, as well as daily stalls selling all the tourist wants. Its a great alternative, for heading west, to the very active and fun Lazaro Cardenas Blvd. I find it fair to say this is not a suburb. You are in the city. While it feels extremely friendly, welcoming and safe, simply put, the city is noisy. There are loud buses, people work six days a week, families and tourists are active late, frequent bus service that is handy but clangs a loud bell, all of this passing by, just below the patio. So do know, this is not a relaxing resort or for remote workers who need absolute quiet. It is however, the real deal. You will be immersed in authentic Mexican culture and I miss all of it very much. Your host is extremely attentive and helpful. Enjoy your visit with an open heart and open mind. Oh, also, the housekeeper is THE BEST. She works hard, tip wel
