A romantic getaway that will make you feel like you are miles away from mehome. The smell of the ocean air sets the tone. It's cozy, comfortable, and just a short 2 minute stroll to the beach. Shopping and dining are just a short drive to mid-part of town.

And the best part It's dog-friendly, so you can bring your family pooch - no need to find a dog-sitter! Note that there is a small yard that is not enclosed.

This is a guest house with a private entrance (walk behind the large house). There are other guest houses nearby and it has a community feel. There is a train that goes by a few times a day (a bit more in summer). You will hear it a few times a day during the warmer seasons. You can wave to the people on board, which makes for a little nostalgia and joy. Please note the large patio sitting area and hot tub is for the ➡️ large house only.

Romantic and welcoming, this home is ready to welcome you after a long day of traveling or exploring the area. Go outside at night and star-gaze! On a clear night the stars are just amazing (and romantic).

The bathroom has a small tub/shower combination. It is small. This home has one bedroom with a queen-size bed.

Things to know:

Full kitchen
The kitchen, though compact, is perfectly suited to preparing a tasty dinner, with a mini-fridge, a stove, an oven and a microwave.

Dog-friendly. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting 'Yes' to pets. If you bring your dog please be mindful of barking as this is a quiet neighborhood. Note that there is a small yard that is not enclosed. Please pick up after your dog (bags provided).

Quiet time is 9pm for this neighborhood. Parties will not be tolerated. Please be mindful of our neighbors. This is a house for a relaxing getaway and to recharge.

There is a house in the front lot that can be rented with this Bungalow. It has its own separate entrance and sitting area. Your sitting area is behind the bungalow and here is also a table and chairs hidden in the grape vines.

What's nearby: The main commercial district of Rockaway Beach is less than a mile away from this home, and features a range of restaurants, cafes, and shops. The beach itself is just across the street, so you can walk out of your door and have your toes in the sand in minutes.

Spend an afternoon combing the beach for interesting artifacts - if you head south, you'll see the highly photographed Twin Rocks just offshore. Just across Hwy 101 from the neighborhood, you’ll find the Rockaway Cedar Preserve. An easy walk will bring you to one of Oregon’s biggest trees, a 500+ year old cedar. For those looking to go a bit farther, Lake Lytle is just over one mile to the north. Go for a hike in Twin Rocks County Park just under four miles away, or head 13 miles south to Tillamook and tour the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory or go wine tasting at the Blue Heron French Cheese company. One of our favorites is Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint. The oddly-shaped, but aptly named, Octopus Tree of Oregon is a massive oddity.
There is an amazing lookout point there as well.
Jetty Fishery and Marina and Kelly’s Brighton Marina are a little more than three miles north. They rent boats and supplies for fishing and crabbing or touring the scenic Nehalem Bay. You're surrounded in every direction by opportunities to hike, kayak, canoe, fish, and otherwise spend time enjoying the great outdoors.

I had spent 2 nights with my 2 small dogs. The home was the perfect size for us and super close to the beach where we spent most of our time.

The location was perfect. The host was excellent with communication. The only thing I’d mention is that my husband is 6’5” and didn’t fit very well on the shower. Everything else was great though!

We really enjoyed our stay at this bungalow by the beach! It was quiet and stocked with pretty much everything you could need. Close to the beach and walking distance from food and shops in Rockaway. That being said, I felt like the bathroom is made to look bigger than it is in the pictures, specifically the tub/shower combo. The tub is barely big enough for a child to bath in and the shower is very narrow. I really wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone over 5’7. My husband is 6’0 and I’m 5’9, we were both taller than the shower head and my husband was only an inch from the ceiling in the shower. I get that it’s an old fisherman’s house which is very cool but my husband and I were just both blindsided when we got there expecting to be able to shower in our rental and having it be miniature in size. Great for tiny people!! Overall a good experience but feel it should be clearly stated that the bathroom is much much smaller than average.

A block from the best beach around. The Bungalow is small but the TV is fully loaded, bed is comfortable, and outdoor patios with string lights next to vintage train track that a steam engine , that goes buy a few times a day, clean and has all the stuff you need except food which is near buy or cook there.

We rented the bungalow to celebrate our anniversary over a long weekend. It’s comfy and cozy with cute beachy touches. There’s a charming little outdoor patio on the backside with a mini fire feature for chill outdoor meals. It’s a quick walk to two different beach access points and just a couple minutes drive to shops and eateries. Super close to Lake Lytle and the Cedar Wetlands Preserve too. The owners were great and provided a lot of helpful information. We loved our stay.

I took my family of 9 people and 3 dogs to this wonderful property for a 3 night Christmas vacation. The owner of this property was incredible! She was in constant contact with me when I needed her, the house was fully stocked with everything you could possibly think of! The entire experience was just incredible.
