This property is stunning. We stayed in the glamper. The check-in process was great, and Doc and his wife are very knowledgeable about the property. We were welcomed with fruit in the fridge and muffins on the table. A lovely touch. We had boats to float the creek in and a golf cart to explore the property. We will be back again.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Doc, the property manager. He immediately gave us a tour of the property on the provided golf cart. There was so much to see and he was very nice. This place was absolutely magical! So much raw beauty and wildlife. We bought groceries for the week and didn’t leave Rocky Bayou much. The bluffs and water were perfect. We seen armadillos every night in the yard, deer, an eagles nest and a mink running on the river bank. If you like adventure, peace, wildlife, seclusion and the simple things, this is the place for you. We had 3 adults and 2 young boys and it worked just fine for us. Highly recommend bringing some chairs or tubes or floats to enjoy Rocky Bayou and float next to the bluffs. We plan to come back again!

We had a great stay at Savoy Island Ranch. We had 5 adults in our group and two doggos. The sleeping arrangements worked well for us, but be aware there is only one large bed (camper has twin beds) and to use this you must be able to climb up and down very steep loft steps and you cannot fully stand at the end of the bed. Everything was extremely clean and well laid out. We fished the river and hiked around the property and enjoyed the folk festival in town. The host arranged kayak and canoe and paddleboard for us to use, but it was a little chilly during our visit to take them out. A golf cart was a great perk as our 86yr old grandmother joined us and it made getting to and from the river and pavilion area much easier for her. The whole property is absolutely beautiful! If you are looking for a unique getaway in a fantastic location surrounded by nature, then this is the place for you!

What a gorgeous place to stay! From the amazing views, paddling down the river in the provided canoe, kayak, or paddle board, fishing, or exploring the many trails, the property is breathtaking!! We couldn't have been in a better place to view the solar eclipse. Doc and Kathy were wonderful Hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Doc showed us how everything worked and gave us a tour of the property in the provided hopped-up golf cart. It was so much fun to ride it on the trails. Kathy brought us her delicious homemade caramel rolls for breakfast. What a special treat.

We had a great time on the gorgeous property! Even though there was a large group of people at the house next door, we still felt pretty secluded and secure on the 450+ acres. Wouldn’t mind coming back again sometime!

We had the best weekend staying at the Savoy Island Ranch!!! We stayed in the Airstream and spent most of our time exploring the many trails and the mountaintop views. There were some great places along the river for kayaking and stand up paddle board. This property is hard to beat and I'm looking for opportunities to bring a group for an annual retreat.

Just a brother and I reconnecting, perfect spot for it. Trails and rivers to explore. Remote, which to me is a plus. Beautiful private acreage and excellent communication, the owner even drove me around on a tour and thoroughly explained the amenities.

This property is amazing. We had our own golf cart to explore the area. We took our 2 dogs and they had a blast running free - saw lots of deer and armadillos. We hiked up a mountain to a meadow view with nothing in sight but rolling hills. Even saw a flock of turkeys. The side by side was a neat way to enjoy the weekend and the managers were very nice and welcoming. A very unique property if you need to get away. Hope we can do visit again sometime!

The land was absolutely beautiful and gave us lots of activities to enjoy. We knew when we booked it that the living accommodations would be tight for a family of six. That being said, with 3 asthmatic family members not being able to use the airstream except for the restroom made the accommodations less than desirable. It needs to be disclosed that the airstream has VERY OBVIOUSLY been smoked in for many years. That is not a smell that happened recently or overnight. It took our breath away when the door opened. We made the best of it but 6 people in just the attached area was a tight fit. That being said, the land and all the available items (golf cart, kayak, canoe, etc.) still made the trip enjoyable. Kathy and Doc are wonderful and so very attentive to the guests. They go above and beyond to try and make your stay enjoyable and memorable.
