Rainbow Apartment 1 - feel completely at home

My brother and I needed a weeks stay at short notice whilst in Jamaica. The room had all we required, parking is on site and a lovely pool right outside our door! Monika and Axel were fantastic hosts. Very welcoming and they treated us like family, helping us out numerous times and even washing our clothes while we were out. Your place was a perfect retreat. I researched several places to stay before settling on Monika's and Axel's beautiful and quaint resort. I have stayed at all inclusive resorts, to small, family owned hotels... this was by far the most unique and welcoming places I've experienced in all of my travels. I was traveling alone and wanted to find a place that had friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere. Needless to say, I got way more than I paid for. From the moment I arrived I felt very welcomed and taken care of. The accommodations were fantastic, clean, and comfortable. I loved having access to the kitchen as I love to cook local food while I am traveling. Monika was an amazing host and we became fast friends. We went out a few times to get groceries and to a seafood restaurant for drinks and great conversation. She was always making sure that I had everything I needed. I appreciated how much effort and hard work was put into keeping the grounds and pool looking and feeling so great. I spent hours soaking up the sun, listening to music and floating on my mattress in the pool each day. Garfield, who you will find attending to the grounds as well as preparing delicious meals, was extremely knowledgeable about everything from local food to the ways of life on the island. I woke up each morning to my yoga practice in the courtyard with his friendly smile and fantastic smells of whatever he was roasting for the daily meals. I looked forward to making smoothies with him and whatever gorgeous fruit or vegetable he would bring me to experiment with for the day. You can pay extra to have meals prepared for you or have local food on hand. I felt that my privacy was respected as well as just enough company when I needed to engage in a great conversation or learn something new about the ways and life in Jamaica. Some other great features to staying with Monika and Axel is access to a private beach within walking distance. I felt very safe as a female traveling alone walking in the neighborhood. They also are willing to provide private transportation to and from the airport for a reasonable cost. Runaway Bay is a great place to stay in Jamaica. The people are so friendly and have such a beautiful outlook on life. I would highly recommend booking your next vacation at this beautiful and charming family owned resort. You won't be disappointed. I can't wait to return and hopefully meet Axel this time around as he was on Holiday during my stay.

Monika and Axel were the perfect hosts. This was our first time in Jamaica, and I can truly say we experienced Jamaica, the culture, the food and the wonderful people. On the first night, Monika and Axel invited us to play pool with Courtney and another couple that was visiting, at a local bar. Later in the week, Courtney spent a day with us showing us around Jamaica and stopping at the roadside stalls to purchase local food and drinks, as well as a large craft market. On our last night, we walked to a couple of nearby bars and the men played pool again, even the locals joined in to play. The private beach is within walking distance, and we always felt safe walking. The property is well kept and clean and the staff very friendly. The experience we had was beyond our expectations. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

It was so nice to have visited again. This was our first stay in the apartment as we usually stay in the villa. My husband and I travelled alone this time so thought we would stay in the apartment. It is fully equipped with a four burner stove/oven and full size fridge so this was excellent. We shopped for our groceries in Montego Bay when arriving which was cheaper than the small local stores which are great in a pinch. The Mega Mart has liquor in the store so it is like one stop shopping. A trip to the Swiss butcher the next day and we had all we needed. What I loved about the apartment was the close proximity to the pool. I would often go for a swim or soak in the a.m. before cooking breakfast which was a lovely start to the day. The beach is as beautiful as I remember but they now have a lifeguard on duty most days which I saw as great compliment. We took a cooler with us to the beach with our own snacks and refreshments. There are a few bars/restaurants within close proximity so on the nights you don't want to cook there are options. Monika, Axel, Claudette and Courtney were so accomodating, all we had to do was ask if in need of anything, I felt so spoiled having the daily housekeeping services of Claudette. She is fun and has a great sense of humor. The highlight of this trip was the bonfire/ BBQ we were treated to and of course the wonderful birthday dinner Monika arranged for me. Thanks to all of you and counting the days until we can return again.

My husband and I have just returned from a week at Rainbow creek and found the experience extremely good. Monika was on hand to help whenever we needed anything, but at the same time did not intrude on our privacy. The accommodation was extremely clean and our every need was met. The Bungalow was very secure and we felt safe at all times. Monika puts a great deal into making her guests feel safe and comfortable and we would certainly use this venue again. Thank you Monika. (Unfortunately we did not get to meet Axel as he was in germany throughout our stay). We would highly recommend this property to anyone . The property description was accurate and there were plenty of local attractions within close proximity, also shops and petrol stations churches etc.

I am a repeat visitor and my last visit was in October of 2009. My stay was 2 weeks and it was the best time ever in Jamaica. This trip I came with two of my co-workers. Since I know a lot about Jamaica I showed them around the local bars restaurants beaches and stores. They were very impressed with the property, the staff, and the security. Needless to say my co-workers love the place and are making plans right now to return in June. You feel like you are at home with most of the comforts of Home. Clean Decorative bed rooms with maid service Restrooms with fresh towels and surfaces for your toiletries Full kitchen with stove sink refrigerator and freezer Living room area New Swimming pool that your whole family will enjoy. The Beach is minutes from the property They also offer tour packages to many of the island attractions. also Horse Back Riding and Airplane rides. There's much more!!!! I am prod to tell my friends and co-workers that it is my home but once you experience it for yourself you will call it you home too. AWESOME!!!

We stayed Jan.6-16/10. Once again Monika and Axel welcomed us with open arms, just like family. They help us with everything from transport to and from the airport and with grocery shopping close by. The trip to the Swiss butcher is an adventure in itself. Sylvie,the housekeeper always puts the final touches on things, like extra pillows for me. Courtney is such a gentleman and checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything, He always stocks the fridge with Red Stripe, you just have to ask. Our tour this time was to Falmouth and Wakefield, I always feel so safe and pampered on the tours they offer. They are personalized, stop when you want and I know they all take such care when driving with us in the vehicle. All I need to do is relax and enjoy. The beach remains as beautiful as I remember and just a close walk away for that little bit of exercise. I love talking to the locals as we walk back and forth, occasionally stopping to bye some fresh produce. I did introduce friends to Axel this time as I would highly recommend you stay at the Rainbow apartment or villa, both are excellent value for the money if you aren't the AI type.

Es war fur mich sehr schon. Das haus liegt sehr central. Nur 30 minuten von Ocho Rios und 15 minuten von St. Anns bay. Mit der local bus oder taxi ist es gut zu machen und nich tauer. Das prive strand is nur 15 minuten laufen und ist sehr schon. Du kannst eine stuhl leihen und nicht viele leute sind da. Und es ist wirklich eine bountyplatz. Den vermieter Monika ist super sie macht alles um ihre ferien unvergesslich zu machen. Du kannst auch mit dem pferden reiten oder eine tour buchen. Sie sind sehr nett und das haus ist gross mit eine grosse pool draussen das wirklich schon ist. Wenn sie hier hingehen hast du wirklich eine traumferien. Ich komme sicher zuruck.
