Private 2 bedroom apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood on the third floor of our home.
Comfortable for several people with a full kitchen and large living space in addition to 2 spacious bedrooms and one bathroom. There’s a little over 900 square feet of space. The back bedroom has a queen size bed with lots of room to spare. The front room has a queen size bed and a new full size bed. The couch in the living room is super comfy for sleeping and the queen size air mattress will fit in either bedroom or even the living room. So you could fit up to 8 people if you really wanted to. We regularly host 6 people and everyone has been happy.
- Please note this is a third floor walk up, as in steep exterior stairs- but worth the climb -
We have WiFi throughout the apartment and Directv for the living room tv plus a DVD player for your relaxing pleasure. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, full stove, toaster and coffee maker. You’ll find plenty of snacks and breakfast fixings. It has everything you need to make meals.
The property is just shy of an acre with plenty of space to wander, kick a ball around, watch the birds or roast some marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace. We are less than a block from Toby May park with playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts. Shops, restaurants, gyms and laundromats are all less than a mile away.
We are very close to L&M Hospital, Mitchell College, General Dynamics, The Coast Guard Academy, Conn College, and the Eugene O’Neil Theater Center. Travel a mile and Explore Harkness Park, Ocean Beach or The Garde Theater. Downtown New London has a vibrant art and restaurant community as well as a busy waterfront with access to ferries to Block Island, Fishers Island and Long Island, buses and Amtrak. If that’s not enough we are 25 minutes to Mohegan Sun, 30 to Foxwoods and 20 to Mystic! Then Again you can always stay in and relax.

Had a great welcoming.Owner -is amazing! On a one way street you drive up to the property hidden towards the back off the road. Street is lined with nostalgic New England style homes. The long drive takes you to the circular drive where you can unload your passengers and luggage. There is plenty of safe parking. You then take a narrow set of red stairs to the 3rd floor apartment. You are greeted with shared spaces with low inviting lights and candles . The property has outdoor spaces which the owner encourages and provides you with smores ingredients. When you walk up the flight of stairs you enter a spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Has everything you need! So comfy and feels like home. Shannon adds her sweetest touch with her bombdigigety muffins. Love everything!!

Awesome experience. Exceeded our expectations in every way. Best value for our dollar weve ever encountered in thirty-some years of travel together. Comfortable rooms, everything and more that you could ask for as far as kitchen and toiletry supplies. We have already re-booked.

The apartment was larger than I expected, quiet, clean and the little amenities available if needed was amazing. Plenty of towels, comfy beds and full kitchen. Location was easy to get anywhere we needed for our reunion of Pargo vets, whether the base, Foxwoods, or the coast. As long as you're not scared of heights I'd say its a perfect rental for anyone looking for the Groton/New London area.
The property was very well stocked! They had all the dishes and soaps we could have needed and more! There were ample towels and everything was well organized. I was very impressed with the many small touches that were thoughtful and helpful (like makeup remover cloths in the bathroom!). The s'mores basket and outdoor fireplace were also really nice. We didn't get to experience the freshly baked muffins I read about in so many reviews, but maybe the timing was off. The only problem we had was that due to heat/humidity and lack of A/C they had the windows open and the window cooling units were a little noisy and allowed for some bugs to enter. Also, I may be a little bit of a clean freak, but I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the comforter on our bed, the sheets were clean but you could tell the comforter was not washed after the last guest. Overall we had a really great experience and I would stay here again!

Apartment was clean and had everything we could need. The host even included farm fresh eggs and milk! Everything was wonderful, beds and linens comfy, lots of blankets to cuddle in. The only thing people staying here should be aware of is that it was on the third floor of home & you walk up steep narrow wooden stairs on outside of home to the entrance. It was not fun carrying luggage up and if you have any height issues. However, once inside it was truly awesome.

Although going up and down the stairs was a work out, everything else was wonderful. It truly felt like a home away from home. Shannon was friendly and helpful, when the tv wasn’t working she came right over and fixed it for me. The place was very clean and on top of the delicious muffins she made there was not much that Shannon didn’t think of, including extra tooth brushes! I would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.
The property worked great for our family of 5. Our only challenge was the outside stairs to get to the unit. Take note if you have small children or anyone with leg issues, it’s a climb.
We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious and comfortable apartment, tucked away in a lovely neighborhood close to the beach and not far from downtown. Shannan provided everything we needed, and more - like a beach pass to Ocean Beach Park! Since the purpose of our visit was to enjoy the beach, we really appreciated this.
