Stayed Feb 11, 2025We opted to stay in Hilo rather than the other side of the island where there are many resorts and more traffic. We had breakfast at the VRBO and then did fun day trips all over the island. The VRBO was clean, quiet and comfortable. We appreciated the reserved parking spot and option to do laundry. Shopping at Safeway and Walmart was convenient. We also really enjoyed the Hilo farmer's market.

Stayed Nov 25, 2024We visited Hawaii National Volcano Park, Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, Rainbow Falls, Kaumana Cave, Hawaiian Botanical Gardens and strolled through the Wailoa River State Park. Wishing we had planned an extra day to visit!
