Private suite located on the garden side of our home

Cute, peaceful (listening to the frogs at night amazing) and the unit is nicely decorated. It is advertised as being equipped to create meals. It has a bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Plenty of dishware and cutlery. There is no kitchen sink so washing up is done in a basin filled in the bathroom.

The property was a real home from home with lots of lovely touches. Berta was a great host with early and clear communication. She and her husband met us and made us feel very welcome. Perfect for a night or two.

The home was tastefully decorated, very clean, beautiful garden. It was private and quiet. My husband and I both very much enjoyed our stay!

This accommodation was exemplary in every aspect. Well thought out with every conceivable amenity at hand also comfortable and spacious for a couple in a very pleasing garden setting in a quiet neighborhood but within reach of local shops and restaurants by car.

Berta was a wonderful host for myself, my friend and my 2-year-old. We appreciated the quiet, private suite and the garden view! The space was cozy, comfortable and well-organized. It is close enough to downtown to have many options for dining and shopping, but far enough away to feel quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay again.

The owners are wonderful people who are very accommodating and have though of everything you need for a lovely stay in Duncan. Every time i thought I'd need something I'd just look in a drawer or cupboard and it was already there. The garden and surroundings are so beautiful, and it's a quiet neighborhood so you'll have a peaceful stay. I'll stay here every time i visit if it's available. These people care about the quality of your stay and it shows.

This is a lovely one bedroom apartment located in a quiet subdivision of Duncan. Minutes from the downtown area and close to the road leading to Cowichan Lake. The gardens are beautiful. The apartment is equipped with everything you want for a short stay, Keurig, milk, sugar, etc. the host was quick to respond to all our questions. Hard to ask for anything better from a host or home.

Berta and Ken could not have been better hosts, and I'm a fairly high-needs guest! Loved the whole place.One night the neighbours directly facing my suite, who were sometimes quite loud in the day, had a loud, long , late party inside, which included shrieks and raucous laughter bursting out their windows. I am highly sensitive to noise, so I just went inside and enjoyed myself in my lovely place.And Ken, thanks again for your delicious fresh produce!!! You were both SO kind to me.

Clean, quiet and well appointed. We loved sitting on our little deck in the garden having coffee in the morning and a glass of wine to unwind at the end of the day. It was perfect and we will be back!

Comfy/Cozy space, with all sorts of extra items that someone may need and may have forgotten.

Very comfortable suite, quiet and clean.It had everything we were looking for ; very comfy bed, living area with tv. We spent so much time exploring the island; we didn’t cook meals there but there was a well stocked kitchen area with microwave , toaster, coffee maker, mini fridge. Absolutely stunning garden area to sit out and enjoy. Host was very easy to communicate with and was a lovely lady. Such a central area for easy access up and down the island. We’ll be back!

Spectacular property. Perfectly appointed, super comfortable bed with quality linens, strong wifi, would great for someone needing a temporary work spot for a biz trip. Lovely back garden, spotlessly clean and the owners communicated very quickly. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Lovely suite in a beautiful neighborhood! The garden and yard were stunning! The entry was private, the bed was comfy and the linens, towels and robes were lovely! A bit of upstairs noise at times and no sink in the kitchenette was a bit challenging but we made it work! Definitely loved having a beautiful spot to land after being out enjoying the beauty of the Cowichan Valley.

You won't be disappointed to stay here. Very comfortable and has every amenity you can think of. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

pretty location, very clean

Our host was extremely nice. The gardens are just beautiful. We had lovely weather which always helps, but it is a lovely place. The suite is extremely clean and well-appointed and the bed was comfy. We would definitely stay here again. Duncan is a fun little town with good restaurants. And….the mountains add to the trip.

The place was super cozy! The property was clean, well appointed and in a good location. Everything was well stocked. We had trouble with the coffee maker but otherwise everything was perfect.

I wanted to be in the Duncan area to connect with a couple of friends in the area. The reviews, price, and location all aligned with what I was looking for. The VRBO suite was comfortable, clean, with all that I needed. The garden area outside the suite was a plus. Berta's directions and text messages were clear and helpful. Had a relaxing 2 night stay at this location. The beautiful garden suite was well equipped, well beyond expectations, The bed was extremely comfortable, beautiful comfy pillows, duvet, silky sheets.
