Welcome to this private apartment, not shared with anyone. The space is about 575 square feet (53 m2). There is 1 bedroom with a queen bed and Fire TV. The living room has a couch, dining table, and a Fire TV. Conveniently walkable location near supermarket, restaurants, etc. 15 miles from the George Washington Bridge. If you drive, you can reach NYC in 30 mins. Public transit (bus and train) takes about 1.5 hours to reach NYC. No parties, events, or smoking -- rules are strictly enforced.>
The apartment is on the first floor of the building. There are a few steps you must climb to reach the apartment. There’s an entrance door at the street level that is shared with one other apartment in the building, but your apartment is completely private and has its own entry door. The apartment has basic amenities and good for tourists, remote workers, business travelers, students, etc. We keep things simple and offer a competitive price.

You will have exclusive access to the entire apartment. The space is not shared.

Mostly families living in the neighborhood. Lots of Latin American influences in the immediate area. Paterson is a very diverse city with lots of variety as far as restaurants, groceries, etc.

Newark airport (EWR) is 19 miles away from this apartment. La Guardia (LGA) is 28 miles away. JFK is 36 miles away. Recommend using taxi/Uber from the area airports.

You can reach Manhattan NYC using public transit by using a combination of buses and trains. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. If you drive to New York, it is only 15 miles away, so you can arrive in about 30 minutes.

Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival. The code will not be sent in advance.

The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. No one will be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm). We will not give refunds if you have issues checking in after 11:00 pm. Early check-in is almost never possible and late check-out after 10:00 am is not permitted. We do not have any luggage storage at the building.

There is no parking included with this rental (the building does not have a driveway). You may park on the nearby streets, which is free, but you just need to pay attention to the street cleaning signs. The City of Paterson cleans each street one morning per week and those times are posted on signs. We cannot be responsible if you receive a parking ticket. Please ask if you have any questions about parking.

Please also note that this apartment is located in an older building. The apartment looks like the photos in the listing and we keep it clean. It is a basic space with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced place relatively close to New York City and area airports, this would be a good space for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you.

A few things to know before you book:

To keep our homes safe and welcoming for everyone, all guests complete a quick verification before arrival — we’ll reach out by email or text with the simple steps once you’ve booked, so please complete it before you travel.

Guests are also asked to either purchase a damage waiver or leave a refundable security deposit, and to sign a short rental agreement. A valid credit or debit card is required; if you’re paying us directly by card, we’ll ask for a photo of the front and back and a signed credit card authorization form, and the name on the reservation, card, and ID should match. Please also have a valid, current government-issued ID ready — if it’s expired we won’t be able to approve the stay, and no refund applies in that case. Additional charges may apply.

Wi-Fi is not included in your booking. Internet access at this property is offered only as a paid add-on, so please do not plan on free Wi-Fi during your stay. If you would like Wi-Fi, message us before or during your stay and we will send you the current rate and connection details.
Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).

If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.

Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!

If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.

If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.

Abnormal Cleaning Disclosure
Guests are expected to leave the property in a reasonably clean and orderly condition. Additional fees may apply for excessive or abnormal cleaning required after checkout, including garbage or trash left behind and cleaning beyond the normal scope of our standard turnover service. Any applicable charges will be assessed based on the condition of the property and the additional cleaning required.
