Paradise Valley Cottage is your comfortable home away from home set amongst giant willows and pine trees with a view of the Rocky Mountains. The cabin is a stand alone building on our ranch with a very private entrance. The cabin is centrally located between Livingston and Yellowstone National Park with easy access to all that Paradise Valley has to offer. Step onto the wood deck and flagstone patio to enjoy the magnificent mountain views and barbecue your favorite meal. Walk along Eight Mile Creek to our private pond and enjoy the music of the water flowing while gazing up at Emigrant Peak.

Five miles from the cottage is Chico Hot Springs. After a day of hiking or skiing this is the place to be to sooth your tired muscles and relax. Here you can catch a meal at the grill or make reservations for a more elegant dinner in the dining room. Later, you can take in a live band and dance the night away. On the way to Chico Hot Springs there is a general store with everything you can imagine and across the street is a post office, bank, deli, bakery and the Old Saloon where you can enjoy a fantastic breakfast, burger or your favorite beverage.

The biggest attraction is just 35 miles south - Yellowstone National Park. Besides the famous Old Faithful Geyser, you will see wildlife - bison, elk, bear, big horn sheep, and if you're really lucky, wolf. The Park has so many wonderful sights that one day is never enough. If you are able, hike some of the back trails to really experience the peaceful beauty and in the winter, take a snow coach tour, snowmobile, or cross-country ski to enjoy the silence and pristine beauty.

For all the fishermen out there, Yellowstone River is easily accessed by our private site, one-half mile from the cottage. Set your drift boat in the river or wade in to catch rainbow and brown trout. Whether you are fly fishing or bait fishing, Yellowstone River will not disappoint. In the summer, if you're look for a boating experience or want to sunbath at the beach of a lake, Daily Lake is 15 minutes away and swimming, sailing, fishing and windsurfing are some of the popular activities found on this lake.

In the town of Livingston, among all the necessities (grocery store, pharmacies) you will find museums, art galleries, a farmer's market on Wednesdays throughout the summer, restaurants and boutique shops. There is also an 18-hole golf course and Sacajawea Park which hosts the annual music summer fest in July. Wintertime brings to Livingston live plays at the Blue Slipper and Firehouse, seasonal events such as the Christmas Stroll, bazaar and New Years Dance at the Depot.

Nice property to visit Yellowstone, quiet retreat from the city. It's a bit hard to cook without some utensils (vegetable pealer, drainer and a vent to avoir triggering the fire alarm).

The cottage was very peaceful and incredibly comfortable. It felt very homey and the owners did not miss a beat by providing all of the amenities you would need like towels, all kinds of toiletries, and even some staple food items in the cupboard. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the cottage was very cozy. The cottage was very clean and you can tell the owners take great pride in making sure their guests are comfortable. I also loved being able to make friends with the pony they had on the property.

We were hoping for a real nice opportunity to feel like we were locals. We didn’t want to stay in a tourist spot like Gardiner and we were 45 min from Yellowstone National Park entrance. We loved this ranch house. We truly felt safe and comfy after our long day excursions to the park, horseback riding and Yellowstone river rafting. Super relaxing, you can’t help but relax with gorgeous views and beautiful horses an adorable pony, bunnies running around and chickens in their coup!

The peaceful slice of paradise was perfect. It had a fully functioning kitchen, plenty of sleeping space and was very quiet. It was a shirt driving distance from the north entrance to Yellowstone and other beautiful hiking destinations. I hope to have this adventure again soon.

Cozy cottage had a good heater, comfy bed, ceiling fan, and kitchen equipped for cooking. Scenic Location was good for us, between Livingston and Gardiner. 2 Thermal springs nearby to choose from. Rental small SUV had to go slow on gravel road adding a few minutes to travel time in & out. Only suggestion I have for owner is to have a 3-way bulb in the 3-way lamp for older readers like us!

Great place, the view is excellent. They have all the necessities to help with cooking or even bathroom products if you forget something. Checking out is breezy. Of course the plus is the miniature horse. She is so sweet. There is a cool little barbecue place down the road to eat at and they have good beer as well.

The roads to the cottage in both directions are pretty rough, multiple pot holes and washboard gravel road. All out of the hosts control. The cabin itself is very quiet and peaceful with a nice view from the porch. Watched bunnies play, deer coming down to the creek to drink, and a cute pony grazing nearby. The bed in the cabin is pretty high, was difficult for my elderly mother to get in and out but was quite comfortable. Everything is well stocked. Lots of information about the area provided. The trash can in the kitchen was very small, small inconvenience.

Directions to property were spot on and check-in was easy. It was the perfect size for three people to stay. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean. The only downfall was the sprinkler system woke us up every morning. I’m sure if we would’ve asked they would’ve turned them off but I didn’t want to bother anyone about the issue (I blame myself for not asking). This area was peaceful, we felt safe, and it came with beautiful views. Thank you again for opening part of your home to us!!!!!

Perfect spot for our quick weekend getaway. We honestly didn’t spend much time at the cottage, but it was clean, comfortable and a great location for the activities we had planned. It was quiet, well stocked and Chris was extremely responsive. The only thing that could have made it better is a bigger bed, but we knew that going in. Overall, an above average option in one of our favorite destinations. Thanks for sharing!

Paradise Valley Cottage was perfect for the two of us! Fishing at Three Dollar Bridge, float fishing on the Yellowstone River, trip down to Yellowstone National Park, fishing and exploring Mill Creek area, meals at Follow Yer’ Nose and Montana Rib & Chop House, visits to area fly shops and quilt shops rounded out our trip!! Would love to return!!

The facility was nice, clean, and well equipped. In a state famous for views and beauty this place offered neither. From the cabin or porch you had a view of the side of a barn, a hay rack and the new privacy fence around the host' yard. And the road to the facility was horrible at best. Simply the wrong choice.

Great location away from the commercialization of Gardiner. Property was clean, quiet and restful. Much larger than expected with plenty of room for 3 of us. Owner was on site, but left us on our own, which was perfect. The General Store nearby had everything we needed and more. The road to the property was a bit of a challenge the first time through, but became more and more fun as the week went by. Two restaurant/saloons nearby for our after park relaxing. Would most definitely return-highly recommend.

This cottage is so cute and has everything you could need. We grilled out supper one evening. Nice comfortable bed, very clean and tasteful. We even had a black bear show up in the property one morning. There is a one mile stretch of road that is extremely rough so if you’re traveling in a car, be prepared to drive very very slow. Had we been in our truck or jeep it would have been easier. This is no fault to the owner, just a heads up. The cabin/cottage was perfect. I highly recommend!

The curb appeal is pretty rough but it is nice inside. Comfortable and clean. Not much for views from inside and it could use a few more curtains but it ended up being a good place to relax and sleep. The satellite internet comes and goes but the manager made extra effort to try to get us connected.

Just one word of caution - access is via a rather rough dirt road so if you’re renting a car you may want to request an SUV or cross over vehicle. Highly recommended!
