Our newly-renovated luxury first floor apartment boasts an incredibly convenient location less than a minute’s walk from the Costa Coffee on Torquay's bustling high street and five minutes' walk to the marina with its excellent choice of restaurants, bars, theatre and entertainment. Despite this central location, the apartment is remarkably quiet and peaceful, on a residential street with private off-street parking (very rare for central Torquay), and offering views over the lower partof the town out towards the harbour. The apartment is unique and full of character in a house dating from the 1850s that well-demonstrates the Torquay practice of building up against the rock face of the valleys in which the town is built. This really is an amazing little hideaway, with all of Torquay’s amenities literally on the doorstep, and yet also a great base from which to explore the rest of Torbay and South Devon. Entirely refurbished during the winter of 2024, with a new fitted kitchen and a high standard of internal decoration, the apartment is well equipped, dog friendly and boasts high speed WiFi and use of a small shared raised garden to catch some afternoon sun. Please note that this apartment is on the first floor and is accessed by stairs; we recommend that guests with mobility difficulties bear this in mind when booking.

The hosts, Jonathan and Sade, live locally and also run one of Torquay's most highly-regarded guest houses and are therefore very happy to assist guests in any way they can.

Advertised as luxury flat, but was not when we got there. Damp smell in bathroom overpowering, had to keep bathroom door shut to stop smell entering rest of flat. Mess in toilet on arrival,microwave filthy, between sofa cushions crumbs and mess, window locks all faulty, blinds dirty. Bedding had stains on but could see they had been laundered. Will not be rebooking.
