**My Berlin Recommendations!**
-Blacksmith Restaurant. Known for being farm to table, they have very unique eats and its always so fresh & delicious! It's a small place, but we've had people book our apartment just to come and eat there again!
-Forgotten 50 Distilling, Casual, trendy, modern spot, featuring creative crafted cocktails, crab-inspired selections and a range of pub dishes.
-Atlantic Hotel, classic & classy Berlin restaurant, nice outdoor seating to enjoy the street, american foods, seafood.
-Assateague Crab House you will pass by on your way to Assateague Park. Eastern shore down home cooked seafood! Fresh fantastic seafood & crabs!
-The Sterling Tavern, (some seafood) american food, tacos & such, very good, they sometimes have bands play at night, more laid back atmosphere.
-Windmill Creek Vineyard & Winery and The Garden Grill in Berlin, MD is a “Can't miss” destination for unique wines, great food, live music and events. (5 minute drive from the apartment.)

There are classic lunch places that are yummy if you need a quick bite or carryout, Rayne's Reef, Pops Kitchen.

For dessert, there's Baked Dessert, which is only open during the day, very good. & then a USA Today Awarded favorite, Island Creamery Ice Cream, they are open day and busy at night, it is the best ice cream around!

For breakfast directly below the apartment is The Berlin Cafe, excellent coffee, drinks, baked goods, macarons, etc.

As far as activities, we love Assateague! I recommend the National Park, instead of the State park. It is a little farther of a drive, but worth it, there is so much more to explore! Great hiking trails, lots of beaches. More areas to see the wild ponies!

Of course Ocean City Beach & Boardwalk is only a 10 minute drive away!

There are also plenty of museums located right downtown in Berlin to explore! The Mermaid Museum in Berlin is a fun new activity for a rainy day! Also the new Ghost Museum! Of course there are many shops right outside your front door step to explore as well!

A cool little local area is sunset marina in west ocean city, about a 10 min drive from the apartment. Its a local commercial fishing harbor with lots of great restaurants! Pretty much all the restaurants are right on the water, you can sit back and check out the boats!

After being made to sign an agreement saying we wouldn't do anything to the property we were really disappointed how shabby the place was also we got charged $110. cleaning fee which was ridiculous since we were only there 2 nights and then we were required to take the garbage out before we left I can safely say we will never stay there again

Poor lighting, a full length mirror would have been nice. Check out time is too early, should be moved to 11:00 instead of 10:00

Olivia was very easy to reach and easy to work with. I had to add an extra day on and she assisted me quickly. It was a perfect spot for my stay. I would just encourage lighter sleepers to bring a white noise machine as the apartment is above a coffee house that opens in the morning and you can hear the voices. Apartment was very clean and cozy.

The location was perfect for our travel purpose!! Other than the couch seeming to be a little dingy, the place was well kept and comfy. We would love to stay here again.

I felt a bit like Holmes & Watson staying on Baker Street, I really enjoyed it! There’s a coffee shop right downstairs which is usually open around 7, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby to eat at.

Enjoyed the nearby restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, Assateague Island Off-road zone was closed due to government shutdown.

Best location you could ask for. The Kitchen was nice but needed creamer for the coffee. Used the wifi from the coffee shop down stairs because we spent a lot of time there. Best coffee i have ever had. The bath room could use a few items added to it. 1.Hand rail to get out of tub/shower. 2. Some nonskid on the tub. 3. A face towel rack on side of sink. The water pressure was great and lots of hot water. The A/C works great, the place was clean except for the living room couch, it was filthy and requires a good cleaning. We covered it with a blanket so we could use it. Parking is hard to find between 10am and 5pm on weekdays will be harder on weekends durring events. Ice cream store has a 30min or longer wait but well worth it.

The bed was comfortable and all was clean. Stairs were difficult because of my age but safe enough. There was a violation posted on the front door by the government for poor condition of of the door frame. Only my daughter and I stayed in the apartment so we shared the bed. If my son-in-law and grandson had stayed, it would not have been comfortable sleeping because both are very tall and the futon and blowup mattress would have been too short. Maybe there should be a stipulation about apartment suitable to 2 adults/2 children.
