Ocean View Suite Homer Alaska Cafe/Bookshop/Beach

This was an amazing experience and we will be coming back for another get away asap…

It was incredibly inviting and cozy staying here. We highly recommend choosing to stay here and look forward in returning here! The hosts are very receptive and welcoming. They welcomed us with fresh fruit and dessert. The place was kept very tidy and clean. It had all the necessities including items to make yourself a cup of coffee or cook if needed. The location was superb was it was quiet and close enough to the Spit. The place was located on top of a library/cafe which was so unique and interesting as we felt like it was a “home” away from home. Can’t wait to return back someday to stay in this wonderful gem!

The space was fantastic. Comfortable and clean, everything we expected. The old town area where the space is located exceeded our expectations. Great beach to walk, an art museum and Wild Honey bistro (get the Bee Sting late!) was wonderful. We’d absolutely stay here again.

This property was amazing! It had a ton of charm and character, and the location was great for us. It’s a nice, quiet getaway for people who don’t want to be in the overcrowded Homer Spit area, but still close to things. Definitely one of the top places we stayed during our Alaskan adventure. The upstairs deck was incredible, and the apartment was really cozy. Would highly recommend!!!

A quiet, serene place that is close to everything! Views of the inlet & mountains from the main living area made it lovely for a personal retreat! Would be a wonderful romantic/honeymoon stay.

The property was just as listed. The place is located a few blocks from the water. The book store was a great place to browse.Andy and Sally were wonderful hosts! We loved the spot and would highly recommend to others. Great views.

The place is so cute. The view of the mountains and water is beautiful. The bookstore is great to explore but too many other things to do. Hostvery relaxed but helpful. Kitchen is great but went out to eat, Broken Oar on Spit has a limited menu but everything is good. Twisted goat has Salmon pizza and many more unique pizza topping plus fish.

I honestly have nothing but good things to say about my week-long stay at this beautiful place. The apartment was super comfortable and lovely to spend time in. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedroom was cozy, and the window-filled breakfast nook was the BEST! My hosts were helpful and responsive, and very welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again if I ever have the pleasure of visiting beautiful Homer again.

Absolutely the space we were looking for. True to its word. Andy is a wonderful guy and perfect host. Available when needed, out of sight otherwise. Clean, warm & spacious. The only place I will forever stay when in Homer.

Beautiful apartment. Most convenient location in town. Incredible view of the mountains. But Andrew and Sally and the girls made the trip one I will never forget. Just wonderful people. I look forward to seeing them all again soon.

The owner was very helpful. Gave us ideas of places to eat, and some things to do. The apartment was lovely, very roomy, a little alcove where to eat your breakfast and look outside. The first floor is the owner’s bookshop a wonderful place to browse and find that treasured book that you didn’t even know you needed!

This apartment was perfect. Andy always responded promptly to any questions that we had before our trip and was totally accessible during our stay. Check-in could not have been easier. We were surprised that there was a fresh bouquet of flowers and a fruit basket awaiting us. The apartment had everything that we could possibly need and looked exactly like the pictures on the website. The apartment was immaculate and located in a central area. I don't think that we could have found a more perfect place to stay in Homer. My only regret is that we didn't stay here for a longer period of time. Next time we come to Homer (I have a son who lives there) we will definitely be staying here again. My son has already recommended Andy's place to his friends that have family planning to visit. Oh...besides the lovely view, the short walk to the beach and restaurants, we had an added bonus in that a family of eagles was nesting right next to us. It was a magical visit for us and we are looking for our next visit to Homer. Thank you, Andy for making this such a wonderful experience for us.

Came to Homer for several days of fishing. It was a great location, close to groceries and other venues. Was there for 5 nights.The hosts are great! The accommodation is great for a married couple with 2 or 3 children. Or just a couple needing a great get away. It was very clean and everything worked great!

Beautiful, quiet place to stay. Safeway and a laundromat are both close by and we loved walking to breakfast at Wild Honey. Bring sleep masks in the summer, especially if someone will be sleeping in the living area.

Very nice accommodations with a nice view of the bay. We ate the first night a Fat Olives, excellent pizza. The second night we ate at The Kannery, very good food, a little pricier.The owners left us a tasty blueberry breakfast item which was good. Not breakfast provided, but it helped. Note that you have to carry your luggage up the outside stairs but luckily I am still in decent shape.Went halibut fishing on a 57 foot charter and caught our limit of 2 each. Rough waters and drove out 2.5 hours to get to the spot where we caught 48 halibut in a short time. Bring Dramamine for sure no matter what. We ended up taking a second table right away and we were glad we did.

The apartment above the bookstore was spacious, and we especially appreciated the view and Andy’s hospitality. The cafe downstairs has tasty food with friendly staff who offered to deliver our dinner! We feel so pampered!!

Phenomenal place overall! The location and area were perfect. Very clean and felt like home only better views. Thank you to the owners who were extremely kind and cordial to say the least! We even say an eagles nest with a baby in it on the property !!!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Ocean View Suite in Homer. The property was just as advertised, and it was so lovely. The hosts were very easy to communicate with, and we enjoyed the wonderful views of the bay and mountains, and the close proximity to everything in town.

The suite was very clean and had all that we needed. Check on was easy and the owners were helpful. The view from the dining room was amazing.

The apartment is spacious, charming, and clean with a wonderful view! Great location! Walk to the beach, trails, wildlife refuge museum, a couple of great cafe's and restaurants, a super cool thrift store! Can't wait to visit again.

Clean, quiet, comfortable. You can’t ask for a better place to stay. This will be my property of choice whenever I visit the Homer area.

This sweet, comfy apartment is ideally located for exploring Homer: close to Bishop Beach, cool restaurants, the Art center, and Islands and Oceans exhibit. Plus a bookstore downstairs!

We love this apartment. It is very comfortable and well furnished with beautiful views. We keep coming back again and again.

We loved staying in the Mermaid Suite! It was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We hope to return again soon.

This property is in a great location. It is a very short walk to the beach, delicious food and interesting shops. Owner was super friendly and helpful. The rental was clean, had everything we needed. The owner left us fresh fruit, flowers and pastry!
