Beach view was partial. Its ok. It was very convenient for family activities. Overall it was pleasant safe and comfortable

The condo was what I expected. The standing air conditioner was loud that was disruptive while trying to sleep. Filters needed to be cleaned or possibly replaced.

Just what I was looking for. The property was clean, comfortable and the amenities were what you would expect for an island property. I will rebook this unit for future visits.

The condo is very outdated, bathroom sink doesn’t drain and had a sewer smell, the bed was very uncomfortable. Coffee maker was all rusted up so did not work very well. Too much old furniture jammed into this small room, not enough room to move around. A broken very old window air conditioner in window, so heard all the traffic on the busy street. It felt dirty, old and cluttered. Not an enjoyable stay.

Anthony was a very good host. The condo was great. Easy central location. Everything we needed was in the condo. Road noise can be loud at times but with either a few ear plugs or leaving a fan on while sleeping it was not an issue. Easy across the street to the ocean and a good lighted cross walk to boot. Strong shower and great flushing toilet. Slept sound on the king bed. Maui is the best.

Was ok, but a little underwhelming, needs to be deep cleaned and updated.

We love Hawaii and feel ungrateful for leaving a poor review. However, the bed was horrible on our backs, the kitchen was not stocked well at all, and the bathroom smelled a bit like the sweage was not working. The unit we stayed in was also close to the street and it was very loud all night. One night there was a man working on something right outside our unit passed 9 PM whoch also kept us up. We tried to sleep on the pull out couch on the last night but when we pulled it out it was covered in samd and the mattress was a very old spring.If you are trying to save money I understand, but I will sadly not be coming back to this unit, it seems the owner has not visited in a long time.

I had a great stay and would like to stay here again. The only issue I had was no toilet paper or tissues in the unit. Would have been nice to have even a partial roll. Other than that, the unit was clean, easy to keep cool and insect free. The hot tub was broken down but that’s not the host’s fault. Overall great stay.

The room was great for what we needed . Wasn’t fancy but that’s not really what we were looking for anyways . Great location on the island for all the excursions we had planned . Lots of great beaches very close to the room and lots of great places to eat .

We were central to everywhere we wanted to go. You just can't smoke on the balcony and that wasn't clear. They have a smoking section in back of parking lot you can use. The location to the beach was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic location! Nothing fancy, but has everything you need.

This property was a major disappointment. The unit was dirty, poorly maintained, and the host was unresponsive.From the start, the AC unit was broken and replaced with a portable unit that did not cool the space and leaked water continuously, leaving puddles on the floor and soaking some of my belongings. The unbearable heat inside made our stay extremely uncomfortable.The overall cleanliness was unacceptable: hair on the bed linens, stained towels (some clearly cut from larger ones), a broken bed frame, a dirty oven, and a microwave missing its turntable ring. Basic kitchen items were lacking—there was only one cup for water.Despite notifying the host immediately, very little was done. The host’s “maintenance” crew was unprofessional and ineffective. Calls and texts came at inconvenient times, but no one actually resolved the problems. His follow-up was minimal, and at one point, he went silent for nine days after.Instead of enjoying our trip, we spent it cleaning, mopping leaks, and struggling in unbearable conditions. This was not the experience promised when booking and fell far below reasonable expectations for a Vrbo rental.

As several reviews noted, the best asset of this apartment is its location, very close to the fish pond and nearby beaches. I also appreciate the beach chairs provided. However, the apartment needs a serious upgrade. The bed is hard and old, the furnishings are not functional and oversized for the space. It looks like they were gotten from a thrift store sale. The kitchen lacked some utensils like a pan to make eggs and spoons. Towels and linen are very worn. The worst issue was the sewage smell coming from the bathroom vent. It clearly needs to be fixed. When we arrived to checking in, the cleaning person was moping the floors but, overall, the place was a bit filthy.

Price was good but Not ocean view whatsoever, not a working ac unit leaked and flooded the entire trip. Given obviously dirty towels, floor not swept. Tissues and dirty boxers upon arrival, loud undisclosed construction out front. Sewage smell throughout and felt dirty. The unit is too hot to sleep comfortably. No hand soap in the unit. Needs some serious tlc And update to listing

We knew we weren't going to cook much, so much great food on Maui but I was not prepared for how poorly stocked the kitchen was. I bought some yogurt and granola to eat for breakfast before my morning swim but there are zero bowls or spoons in this apartment, I got plastic spoons when I ate out and cleaned a take out container to use as a bowl. The kitchen was completely unequipped. Check out at 10am is firm - we forgot our camelback, goggles, and a couple other things it the code expires at 10am sharp so we couldn't get back in. I think the property owners seem nice on messages, they just need to make a stop at goodwill for some basics.

The location of this property is fantastic — close to beautiful beaches, great local spots, and a vibrant area to explore. Unfortunately, the cleanliness fell short of expectations, with some areas (including the shower, sheets, and sink) not as clean as we would have hoped. Check-in was also a bit challenging as we did not receive the entry code and had to make several calls to gain entry. With some improvements to cleanliness and communication, this could be an outstanding stay given the prime location.

Dirty, smells bad, noise construction across street, bad AC not adapted to full sun during PM, bad curtain not blackout, old furnitures, couch need full cleaning, balcony directly facing the street , and full of traffic etc....price too high

Overall this place is ok. It’s a little dark and takes a while to cool off in the evenings. The fans are loud, and the bed is somewhat frumpy. But, it was priced very reasonably, and it is a good location.

This is by far one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. The room was filthy and extremely dusty. It had a musty, damp, and strong sickly smell. Most of the smell was coming from the bad, old plumbing in the bathroom. Especially, the drain in the tub that was not working properly. I reported the plumbing problem immediately and it was not resolved until the next day. The furniture and the bedding was awfully worn out and stained. The AC unit was loud and did not cool the place properly without the fans. Sadly, I was not able to turn on the fans because they were thick of dust and filthy and I couldn't risk getting an asthma attack during my vacation. On top of this, there were many tiny brown bugs in the bathroom and in the kitchen. I left a dessert on the counter for a few hours and it got filled with bugs. The few photos I was able to submit do no justice to the deplorable condition this room is in.Given the condition of the room, I immediately started searching for another place to stay. Unfortunately, other places were booked due to the holiday.The description and reviews on this platform were not accurate, and I would appreciate a refund for all the trouble I went through. This is absolutely terrible and unacceptable, and I hope this does not happen to anyone else.

This property is in a prime location for your Maui vacation! Watch the sunset from the balcony or on the beach which a short jaunt away! The property could’ve been a smidge cleaner. There was a lot of dust. We did have issues with the Air Conditioning and had to clean out both of the air filters in order to enjoy cooler air. The property point person replied within the hour, so that’s positive.

Amazing cute little spot. Went there for my birthday it was amazing saw sea turtles every morning highly recommend definitely would stay again.

This unit is ideal for a couples stay. Check in/out was very easy. Parking was good, if you get back late, you may need to find parking towards the rear of the complex; short walk. Location is very convenient. The unit is stocked with kitchen tools, linens and AC. Unit faces the sun, so it can get warm during the day. Beautiful sunset from patio. Pool and jacuzzi was a nice touch. Only complaint is the bathroom vent. when turned on, there is an unpleasant odor. Communication before, during and after was great. Overall, I look forward to our next stay at Kiehi Bay Surf. Mahalo!

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. The property manager didn't send us all the information we needed to get in when we arrived, but thankfully did include a number for someone else we could text. When we texted them, they sent back a one-word response, which was all we needed to get in. When we walked in, one of the first things I found were probably hundreds of dead gnats on the floor and in the bathroom sink. The floor was also generally dirty. It only took a couple of minutes to clean this all up, and the rest of our stay was fine. The bed was comfortable; the furnishings were good.We didn't spend much time in the place itself except for dinners and to sleep. It's in a really great location, with access to a lot of great parts of Maui. It's also right across the road from a gorgeous beach. So, it worked. It was a roof over our heads and did what we needed it to do. But it's not especially nice, either. And I wish they had cleaned up the gnats before we arrived.

This property was a small studio unit that included a king size bed, a kitchen, and a full bath. The apartment complex in which it is located has a very nice pool, hot tub, and barbeques. as well as laundry facilities and free parking.

Very nice except for the roofers leaving a mess

We had a short stay (3 nights) with a lot of driving to see the island. This rental was comfy and has all you will need to make simple meals and get some R & R after a day of exploring beautiful Maui.

Great condo and great location.

Everything was casual and good. Only wish was that the coffee maker worked properly. Mahalo for our peaceful stay.

Very comfortable and clean condo in Kehei with kitchen to make meals, fridge to store food and drinks, big bed, access to pool and hot tub, and beach park across the street. We enjoyed our stay very much, host was friendly and quick to respond to questions! Thanks Anthony

We stayed here and had a wonderful time. Honestly, I would rather have been here than any other properties due to the price and location. The room was wonderful. The hot tub and pool were nice also. On a side note- go across the street to the beach at night and see the sea turtles asleep there where about 50 of them every night.

The accommodations were just adequate for a couple. Perfect for a husband and wife. The location is good. If you stay here be sure to see the sea turtles across the road at the whale sanctuary.

Had everything we wanted! Close access to fun beach spots, shops, and places to eat! We only wish that they had boogie boards.

Right across from a beach, in close proximity to a lot of things -Price was very fair, especially for Maui -Cute space and quiet neighbors Cons:-outdated interior, but unless you're wanting to watch a lot on TV, it shouldn't be a problem -Bathroom needs a major deep clean. Bathroom smelled very strongly of mold/mildew through the duration of our stay.Overall, a good experience! A few tweaks would make this property absolutely incredible but it's definitely a good choice for those wanting reasonably priced accommodations

Pros:The location is great, across the street from a beach and a quick drive to restaurants and shopping. Has a well-maintained pool and hot tub.I felt safe to stay as a lone female traveler with my daughter.Cons:I am cool with older, modest accommodations but at least need it clean :/The rental was VERY dirty upon entering. All the dishes in the cabinets were dirty (actual food on them, coffee in the bottom of cups, weird fluid on the champagne glasses.) I had to wash all the dishes, cups, and utensils before we could use them. We had to sweep and clean floors from spills and dirt.The bed had hairs on it. We had to dust off as the laundry on site was not open to wash.The fans in the bathroom, above the bed, and the box fan that blows on you bedside have super caked-on dust and dirt.The bed frame is busted so the 2 pieces of frame slide apart and you have to push them back every day so you don't roll in the middle.There was no parking pass.We reached out to the host to inform them of the cleanliness and missing pass as we didn't want to be towed/get a ticket or be charged for things that were broken or dirty. We sent picsThey told us to write the unit # on a paper and put it in the car in lieu of the pass. We asked if there could be a partial refund due to having to clean the unit ourselves-the only offer regarding the cleaning was to have the on-island gal come and sweep the floors.They did not work with VRBO support regarding this either.

The location was great. Right across the street was a sweet, quiet beach with an artificial break water that has become a delightful reef. Great for snorkelling and the turtles were always there.The bed was a king and very comfortable.The kitchenette was sufficiently stocked although only 1 tea towel was left and no pot holders or oven mitts. Cleanliness was good. However, a mat at the balcony door would be useful as a lot of sand blows in onto the balcony floor then tracked in. The fans need a good clean and the one in the bathroom had a bad smell coming from it.There were many nice amenities like masks and snorkels, beach chair and umbrellas, and chilly bins to take to the beach. Tourist info and maps were appreciated. Parking was always obtained right outside the unit. It could be very noisy as the unit faces a very busy street. We enjoyed our stay.

Property was not clean, with torn/missing linens. Owner probably had no idea that his place had been neglected by cleaner... We Changed to a new place and he got us a refund. A/C band-aid is not adequate.

We loved this condo near the beach for sunsets, the whale sanctuary, and a short drive to produce markets, hikes, Foodland for poke’, nature preserves, upcountry, restaurants, and so much more. The well stocked kitchen and thoughtful items like beach gear, cooler, spices, etc were so helpful to us!

This property is comfy, simple, clean, and right across the road from a cute little beach.

Good bed, great pool, porch noisy ( right in busy road)& hadn’t been cleaned, room was clean but several items were fraying, one burner not working- nice beach materials, but no soap for handwashing.

Great little spot. Was a little bit concerned with some of the reviews being mixed but it was everything you could need with a stay. Water pressure worked just fine, even though it’s on Kihei road it’s not too loud, and a/c with the box fan worked great. No complaints at all especially with the deal you’re getting

We really enjoyed our stay at this studio apartment. It was clean and very well equipped (kitchen utensils, beach equipment, extra towels etc). In addition, the location was very good, close to some of the nicest beaches in the island and to many places to eat.
