Stayed Dec 24, 2019We arrived on Christmas Eve night. We found the lock box easily with the keys inside. The apartment was just like the pictures. We used the blow up bed, it was comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped although we didn't cook. The shower pressure was great! The apartment was close to many good restaurants. You must eat at Kings Imperial Chinese, right around the corner. It was fantastic! There is a binder on the desk for visitors with a list of other places to eat in Brooklyn. Our son lives 2 blocks away so we will be staying here again.

Stayed Dec 10, 2019We spent 2 nights in December with 2 kids. It was very clean and included everything for basic needs. It was an easy walk to grocery store and subway. We were able to find parking on the block and also surrounding block (we had to move vehicle for street sweepers but that wasn’t a big deal) The owner Sean was very friendly and quick to respond to any communications. We discovered a newly opened restaurant Reunion that was the best mid eastern cuisine I’ve ever had! The owners did provide lots of information about local restaurants, the one we chose was closed on that day and Reunion was down the street. They also provided plenty of information about activities to do in and around the city, including specific excursions to do with kids.

Stayed Jun 2, 2019We drove in and arrived a bit early and were greeted by the housekeeper. She was delightful and handed us our keys and we got settled. The apartment was perfect for the 2 of us. My daughter (17) slept on the air bed, which was so easy to set up in the living room and that gave each of us privacy at the end of the day. There is every food imaginable within walking distance. Think Coffee is a couple block away and delightful. We tried “Best Pizza” also and it really was great, very tiny venue but great experience. Subway is so close and easy to maneuver with maps on your phone. You put in “Times Square” and click on transit instead of drive and it will tell you trains to take and where to change. The top of the maps screens scrolls and gives you step by step directions. Makes it all so easy and takes the stress and guess work out of getting around the city. The gardens, front and back of the apartment are delightful to rest in and reflect or read a book. And last, the owners are very accessible but not intrusive. They are awesome to chat with if you have time and very welcoming to both their home and their city. On top of free parking nearby (in New York!) There is no downside. You will enjoy your time and this is a fabulous home base.

Stayed Mar 15, 2019Our party of 3 spent my 55th birthday weekend in this quaint apartment in Brooklyn. Sean's email with directions and suggestions is superb and we had no issues finding or entering the apartment. We were also allowed to leave our luggage there while waiting for check-in. This was very convenient as we arrived around noon. The apartment is spacious; especially compared to some I have stayed in. The bed was very comfortable as was the high quality air mattress. The kitchen is well stocked but we did NOT use while there. The L train is literally a less than 5 minute walk and takes you directly into Manhattan however it was down for weekend repairs. ( be sure to check with mta.info before you travel) We had purchased unlimited cards and while there are other trains going into the city the commute is much longer. With such limited time we ended up spending a good bit on Lyft and Uber. There were only (2) complaints I had and I emailed Sean. One was the heat is on one control located somewhere else in the building and it was getting very hot in our apartment. He offered to lower and said if it was too hot we would have to open the windows. There are screens and bars and we had no problem with doing so. (Not a big deal) I believe during the summer there is a window AC unit that you can control yourself. Pretty much all NY apartments have window A/C (I believe). Also the living room furniture is not as comfortable as we would have liked. After walking all day long you kinda want to be able to just hang out and relax. Sean seemed very receptive of my suggestions of a few more comfortable pieces. Overall we had a great experience with our Owner and we would like to rent the apartment again in the future.

Stayed Mar 20, 2019This place made for a lovely week in New York. It really is super close to the city with many subway stations literally less than 2 minutes walk away. The place was clean, the bed was comfy. Like others have said, the bed is a bit loud and the apartment is a bit warm, but after a day or two you get used to both things. Sean was fast at responding to any questions we had. We would for sure recommend this place or stay here again ourselves! Thank you!!!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Good location on pleasant, quiet street. Apartment was nice size. The kitchen was very outdated and the appliances definitely need to be replaced. Refrigerator wasn't even turned on upon arrival, old condiments were left in the frig, and the freezer had signs of mold. Stove wasn't much better. Cupboards were very old. Fortunately did not have to cook there.
