Nocturna Loft / apartment

Began witting this while in this locale... Another restless night. This rental is located 20 meters from Hwy 307, a main route north and south on the Mexican Carribean. The road noise is/was awful. We also listened to a water pump loudly whine all night the first night. I sent the host a notice that the pumps bearing was likely going out. They responded they knew and stated the pump had been disconnected. For one night we didn't hear the pump. Then the next two nights, our last two. I read several reviews where people stated they are thieves, horrible place and wouldn't refund our money. Our experience was quite the opposite. They offered to cancel our reservation several times and refund us for nights we didn't use. So I completely disagree with them being dishonest. I think it's possible the location is old, surrounded by jungle on three sides and a busy highway on the other. Maintaining a building in the Yucatan under these conditions is both difficult and expensive. We live in the Yucatan, I speak from experience. It's possible if they updated, repaired and cleaned everything they would need to to maintain this rental unit they might have to charge $300 USD a night. In this noisy dusty location $300 would be completely unreasonable. I also read reviews that it difficult to locate. It is if you get decent directions. Basically it filthy and poorly maintained. Horrible location.

The property was very nice. The house was clean it was just hard to find. I would highly recommend this property
