Nice And Cozy Apartment On The Municipal Golf Course In Hilo

This property was like returning to my childhood memories. I was raised on Oahu. I remembered the sights (neighbors, furnishings, streets), sounds (dogs, chickens, people upstairs), scents (plants & flowers) of growing up in the islands. Great friendly hosts. Good kitchen for cooking at home. Definitely would stay again. It helped that I lived in Hilo for 6 years so I knew my way around. It was like staying with family.

We really liked staying at this property. The property owner is very friendly and informative. They live above the unit we stayed in. The property is clean, comfortable and well maintained and one of the owners is a contractor, so new improvements are being added on a continuing basis. The house is in a quiet neighborhood… but still close enough to be within 10 minutes of shopping restaurants, and entertainment.

Awesome hosts and a great home away from home. Apartment was clean, quiet, and stocked with amenities to make sure our stay was comfortable. Will definitely come back next time we are in town.

The apartment was perfect for our stay as a family of four. The fully stocked kitchen was helpful in cooking our meals, the place was spacious and everything worked well. Our hosts were wonderful and we’d happy to stay again next time we’re in Hilo.

Nice and communicative host. Check-in was easy and the kitchen is very well appointed. Could very easily have made all our meals there.

The apartment was more than we could have wished for, incredibly spacious, inviting, well equipped with everything, and hosted by a lovely Ingrid and her family. Centrally located near all roads to explore the island or a short trip to the best snorkeling spots. We ended up having to recouperate from an unexpected medical issue and it was the most comfortable environment for healing. We highly recommend this gem and we will be back.

Excellent accommodation in all respects. Complete amenities and excellent communication with host, Ingrid! We greatly enjoyed our relaxing days in Hilo. We now understand why the atmosphere is described as more laid back that the other side of Hawaii Island.

Our stay at this property was fabulous. The apt. was very clean and comfortable for us. The unit was well equipped and we needed nothing during our stay. The host family was super friendly and loved our conversations with them. There was no a/c but the fans provided kept us very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

The owner is very nice and helpful. The apartment was as described but it wasn't mentioned that this is a housing unit under the owner's apartment. We also had a leakage of water at some point with bad smell.

We had a lovely stay here for three nights while on the Hilo side of the island. Great location, close to all the major tourism sites and close enough to do a road trip for the day. Clean and comfortable. Having laundry available, en suite, was an amazing perk for this property and super helpful for us as a family. The owners are very friendly and welcoming.
