Nicely decorated home in central location
Great location, wonderful clean and sunny unit ...
Great location, great host, comfortable and convenient! What more could you ask for? We actually felt like we were part of the neighborhood! From the coffee house next door to Faletti's market one block down to the yoga studio across the street, by the end of our long weekend, we knew them well and they knew us! If you want a great vacation in the heart of the city and truly wish to live like a local, this place is for you!!! Thank you Arthur! We will certainly be back!
Perfect place and location. We are a family of 5 and felt very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Great restaurants and coffee shop nearby. Plan to stay again for future visits.
Fully equiped, well managed and perfect for our family of 5.
It was a great choice, the place is clean, beautiful, modern, well located, and has everything that you need to make your stay a success. Arthur is very responsive and a great host, worried about details. We are a family of 5 and it was perfect. Very good choice, it's worth it!
Had a family vacation for almost a week and loved this place. The off street parking was a huge plus (garage) and our owner Arthur does a great job all the way around. We found the neighborhood fun to explore and the location was easy to launch our day from. Can't wait to come back...it will be soon.
The apartment is really quite large and was perfect for a family of four to spread out for a few days after several days in a hotel. Great location overlooking Divisadero. Apartment is nicely decorated and architecturally interesting. Arthur gives great check in instructions. We rented the garage space which made it really convenient. The neighborhood has changed so much from when I used to spend time there 25 years ago. It is really nice and close to some great restaurants.
We are a family of four, with two almost grown up kids, have been travelling extensively, renting apartments over all Europe, as well as NY and Chicago, and this property is on our top five. What you see is what you get, the photo's and the description of the apartment are accurate. Arthur's detailed information and smooth check-in routine, makes arrival and check-out uncomplicated. And, he really cares, so do not hesitate to make contact if you have questions or if you have any problem. It is a very well equipped apartment, all kinds of kitchen ware, also for small kids, comfortable beds, washing machine, bright, great location near buses and very nice grocery stores, charming 1900th-century property, clean and tidy. Perfect for a family vacation. Keep in mind, it is a 1900th century building, with a steep 20-step staircase, warm water takes a while in the morning, large window panes, so you can't shut climate nor traffic out, and in December you could feel the chilly weather. However heating system kept temperature in control. You can't however really expect this kind of property to meet highest modern standards, being more than 100 years old. If you want that kind of comfort, you should carry this in mind. This is the only reason why we will not rate It 5 stars, and in our personal opinion, “old” standard of this kind is not a problem, if you are prepared for it, not at least in this pleasant place.
We booked this property for 4 days and 3 nights. The property itself is located in the Haight-Ashbury district in the corner of Divisadero and Page st. It is a newly remodeled 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a complete kitchen and washer/dryer available for guests to use. You will need to climb approximately 22-24 steps of stairs to get to your apartment, no elevators are available so it's a workout lugging the luggage up the stairs. The apartment itself is clean and well-appointed, tastefully done and you'll feel right at home. My mom did say that she felt right at home here. Pros: Beautifully located (You're not far off from tourist locations, most is a 4 mile drive) Fully stocked to make sure you're right at home such as complete kitchen utensils, dishwasher, soaps, cleaners, washer, dryer, towels, children equipment such as a playpen (a big up if you're travelling with a 1 year old like us), plates, and cups. Ease of getting a hold of the property owner thru email or by phone. Really fast response time. (We had an issue entering the apartment on our last night and Arthur was able to fix it immediately) The listing is accurate. Private parking (even at $15/day) Internet speed (if you're curious, speedtest was 125-130 mbps download and 15-20 mbps upload) Fresh coffee beans, a coffee bean grinder, and coffee maker. (This really saved us a few $$$ from buying coffee at the market) Cons: No A/C! Just heater. Unfortunately, our arrival date met SF temperature in the low 80's F. So it was a little warm in the whole apartment even if some of the windows were open. Parking around the neighborhood (My suggestion is to pay for the $15/day parking). Arthur was very kind enough to get me a parking spot the same day of my arrival after I found out SF's parking situation is very difficult. Noise (the neighborhood noise is quiet but it's the cars or motorcycles that drive by with their loud exhaust sounds). Because it was hot, we had to open some of the windows which some of those loud sounds woke our baby up in the middle of the night. However, once the windows are closed, sound improves by 75-80%. The cons are the only reason why I'm not giving this a 5/5 score. Would I still book this location? Yes, only if the weather was on the cooler side. If the apartment offered A/C, it's an easy 5/5 score in my book. Thank you again Arthur for accommodating us. We enjoyed staying at your place.
