Overall I had excellent stay at the new Coach House. However, I would suggest the bottom of bath tub needs an anti-slip coating, or a handrail, and found the shower head too high and no adjustment.Thank you!

Absolutely perfect stay. The home is so bright, clean and comfortable, extra bedding and pillows. Lots of towels. Angelo and Michelle thought of everything. The location perfect for access to island highway and the hospital. Real gem.

This place is a gem! I stayed for two weeks in March, 2026. The unit is spotlessly clean. The owner has provided everything you might need to make your stay comfortable. There was even a bottle of distilled water for my CPAP machine!! The kitchen is well equipped. The weather was cold when I visited, so it was great that I could control the heat to make the unit nice and cozy. The bed is very comfortable. Big windows and excellent lighting are a huge plus. The host is very responsive and really wants you to have a great stay. I will be back for sure!

I was glad to see the “insect” cushion covers were gone, replaced by beautiful humming birds! We did find a mat for the tub about 3 or 4 days into the stay. I found the bed too soft (my husband was ok with it), resulting in very stiff/sore hips. I spent the last 3 nights sleeping on the couch, with the duvet (my husband found it too warm having it on the bed). Other than that, it is a very fine accommodation. I would like to come back, but not being able to sleep in the bed is a definite minus. How old is the mattress?

Lovely new property; very bright with lots of natural light; incredibly clean, and well equipped with everything you might need. We had a one-week stay to visit with our granddaughter who is a VIU student and to explore the island. We will definitely be back.

Stand alone coach house. Excellent location for a Nanaimo stay - clean, modern, kitchen well equipped with everything we could possibly need. Quiet neighbourhood (but I don't think anyone could walk to Downtown in ten minutes). We certainly would stay here again the next time we're in Nanaimo.

Everything was as easy as you hope it would be when booking a vacation rental. All details were represented accurately in description and pictures. Rental hosts/owners are great in their communication and response time. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. (Anyone with mobility issues should make sure they can manage the stairs to access the rental.) If we ever stay on Vancouver Island again, we'd live to stay here again

A perfect spot to lay your head down after a busy day exploring the beautiful area. Extremely clean and tidy spot, amply stocked kitchen for cooking. The AC was really nice as we had some hot days. Great area, central to everything. The hosts were very friendly and we will stay here again if we are visiting the area!

This place was perfect really! Super convenient for location, you are tucked away on a quiet street but really 7-8 mins from downtown too. Very roomy and the deck outside was lovely. Had a view of the ocean which was a bonus and everything included that I could think of! Great experience and a great communicator as well! Will stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

This spacious well equipped apartment felt like home. The hosts had thought of everything to make a stay easy and very comfortable.The location was great for exploring Nanaimo as well as north and south of Nanaimo.Angelo is a wonderful host, he shared information about places to visit, how to walk to a close by supermarket and Tim Hortons. He willingly and quickly responded to our questions, eg, how to get the tv working.Car parking is available. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Wonderful location and amenities to see Victoria Island in spring!

We had a great stay at the apartment in April. We had everything we needed to be comfortable, make meals in the kitchen and relax. Very clean.

I have stayed here before. The size and layout are perfect for me. This time I prepared many meals and the kitchen is more than adequate for all cooking needs. The place is quiet and secure.

Has all the amenities: wi-fi, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster oven, bath/shower. Pictures of insects on pillows creeped me out, though—had to put them out of sight while we stayed there. Otherwise a very, very nice place to stay. Close to grocery shopping.

This flat is immaculate, totally equipped and wonderful comfortable decor. Completely recommend you couldn’t ask for more. Location quiet neighbourhood and very pleasant. Stairs to suite if accessibility an issue but motion detector security lights make access safe and pleasant. Little deck to sit outdoors. Will definitely stay there again when in Nanaimo.

Everything in this suite was new, high quality, and extremely clean. We could tell Angelo and his wife have a great understanding of what visitors enjoy; bedding, towels, furnishings, and appliances, all new and sparkling clean; not a thing forgotten here. It was like living in that apartment you really couldn’t afford yet the price was so affordable. The location perfect, quiet safe neighbourhood situated with ease to the #1 for daily travels. Excellent location. Being on top of the detached garage it is also very quiet. Very well supplied with cooking equipment and dishes, etc.

We booked three nights at this beautiful carriage home. The apartment is new, clean and modern. The location was perfect for us because I had family close by and it was convenient for shopping and site seeing. Angelo had lots of cooking utensils, spices and coffee available. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice shower with plenty of hot water available. We had a lovely visit! I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a nice suite in Nanaimo!

My husband and I stayed here while completing medical treatment in Nanaimo. We had a great stay in the apartment with all of the comforts of home (full kitchen, living area, deck) and a quiet neighborhood. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. Will stay again!

As Angelo says, when staying at the Coach House you are 15 minutes from everything in town. Terminal Avenue will get you going to where you need to go, and is literally a minute drive from the house but you don't hear the traffic. We had a wonderful time in Nanaimo taking a hub and spoke pattern to our travels--Qualicum, Duncan, Tofino, and Lake Cowichan areas are all easy day trips. Based on Angelo's recommendations we ate the most wonderful sushi at NORI--this is going to sound a little strange but Milano's has a wonderful fish taco!!! Do not miss Burnt Honey Ice Cream shop--Red's Bakery for a Nanaimo Bar. We will be back for more.
