New apartment in the historic center

The ants in the bathrooms and main bedroom were an issue which the manager responded to quickly (spray supplies) but of greater concern were the old and hard mattresses, no mosquito screens and the high noise level from the street in front of us and the hallway outside our door. Granted, an upgrade would not address the noise level but renters need to know about this before deciding to proceed.

Our family of 4, including two toddlers, stayed at this property for a month. Overall, the space was as described and we were satisfied with it upon our arrival. However, we encountered some issues during our stay. Firstly, we were informed by the host upon arrival that we would be charged an extra fee for using the heat, which was not mentioned in the listing. We recommend clarifying any additional charges with the host before booking. Secondly, the electric hot water pot was broken, which was inconvenient for us as we use it daily for making coffee. Although we notified the host, no replacement was provided. Nonetheless, the host was always responsive to our inquiries and the location was convenient as it was near the wall and Fillungo. We found the space was not well-suited for our toddlers, but it may be suitable for older kids or adults. Overall, the property was good enough for the price, but there was nothing outstanding about it.

The property is clean and well maintained. The property location is convenient to the wall surrounding the historical center and lost to good dining and shopping.

A great location away from center of Lucca. Only 5-10 minutes walk and you are in Piazza Napoleone. Two minutes from the wall for a morning stroll. Very comfortable. Paola and Marcello are most friendly and accommodating to guests.

My husband and I were very comfortable here. The location is very convenient, and just far enough away from the nightlife to be quiet. When you open the large front kitchen windows, it is almost like a balcony. The bedrooms are very charming. The kitchen is well equipped. We would stay here again in lovely Lucca.

Great apartment,very spacious and well equipped. Paola was very friendly and helpful. Ideally situated for the walls and town centre. We decided to spend our whole week in Lucca and the parking just outside the walls that Paola showed us was very convenient. We were amazed at how quiet it was and the shutters were great at keeping out early morning sunlight. From the kitchen we had a fantastic view of the festival procession while we were there. We loved our stay in Lucca and would definitely recommend this apartment.

Spacious and clean apartment for a reasonable price. Nice convenient location for the language school. This place was much cleaner than the place I stayed in Genova so that made me very happy. Paola and her father were very responsive.

I was in Lucca to improve my Italian and this apartment was very close to the school. It was spacious and clean with easy walks to all parts of the city, in a quite residential street. In 2 minutes you can be walking on Lucca's beautiful walls. A great place away from any noise but close enough to be in the centre in 10 minutes.

Me and my parents rented this modern appartment for a month (may) and for a good discounted price. The location is great: it's 1 minute from the walls, so that was our place to enjoy and relax outside. The app. itself doesn't have a real outside. Going into the historical city was a few minutes walk, 5 to the 'piazza l'anfiteatro' and for me also 5 to school to study italian. The owners are very helpful, but we didn't need any help. We didn't know how the satellite tv worked, but then again i wanted to watch italian tv for my study. When i told that, he friendly said i should have called him for help. Parking can be done for free just outside the walls (he will show you) or for a price of 50 euro per month in parking Mazzini, very nearby (ask the tourist office where to get the parking card). The city itself is enchanting and the people are friendly and open. The bar on the corner considered us after a week as one of their own so we payed local coffee prices. The 'alimentaria', macelleria (butcher) and 'panetteria' are also nearby. What we specially liked were the art and pictures in the app. And the luxurious bathroom and the extra bathroom in one bedroom. The bedrooms are spacious and quiet, even here in the middle of the city. A place and a city for us to return to! Sander from Holland
