Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is our second stay in this particular apartment. It works well for my big family. With 4 children, 2 of which are in their teens, it is very difficult to find an apartment to fit us all. This place is in close walking distance to the center of town, a few steps to the main bus station and situated in a very quiet neigborhood. Quiet since it is mostly locals that live in the area. None of the noise of the more touristy area in town. The biggest plus is our very sweet and nice landlords, Frans and Nuttee. They are very intuitive and caters to any demands of their visitors.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our family just returned from Spain, where we spent a wonderful time at La Maquinnilla apartment in Nerja. Frans and Nuttee were lovely hosts, very helpful with all details, and everything was exactly as described: in a residential neighborhood, 10-minute walk from the beaches and other attractions, away from the tourist area. We actually preferred this location, as it is just around the corner from the main bus stop, and the walk to the beaches provided us with opportunities to explore the town rather than focus solely on the beaches. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very roomy, and a fantastic value. Frans provided several restaurant recommendations, and we enjoyed wonderful meals at three of them. We would definitely stay here again, and we provide La Maquinnilla with our highest recommendation.
