Interesting property older but functional. Area has lots to offer.
Enjoyed the patio. Entrance way was a little intimidating but once you are in, its a great space
The location was great, right in the heart of where we needed to be. Apartment was clean and suited our needs to a T.
Upon walking in and up the stairs to this amazing place, you can instantly feel yourself relax!! It is a charming, well cared for apartment. It has everything you could ask for to make your stay a Special one. Wide open spaces and a Bath tub that is sure to warm and relax any exhausted spirit. The game room down stairs is massive and added another level of fun and excitement on our trip. The owner Travis is a Spectacular man who will go above and beyond to make sure your time here is One you won't soon forget!!! I will be back!!! Time and time again. This is my new found gem.
Clean. A complete kitchen. Comfortable environment. The green screen was so entertaining.
We had a wonderful time sharing a very spacious house with a large kitchen, big dining room, spacious bedrooms and a game room! Wow! The owner is wonderful and provides you with additional supplies and tips for local outings and a warm sense of his hospitality. The house is located right on the main street of a tiny quaint town. There is a bar nearby though so not too often and not too loud but there is some after-bar noise that is not an issue woth earplugs.
Very beautiful country. My family enjoyed the place. Good value for the cost. Kindly John
great place to stay when in the high mountains
This property met our expectations for a two night stay attending a local wedding. Travis was easy to communicate with.
The Depot BnB exceeded my expectations! There was everything we needed and more! It was a great location for what we were in town for. Has a lot of personality! Our host was easily accessible and made our stay worry free and welcoming!
We were in town for a wedding just up the road and this property was perfect for 3 adults. Travis was very friendly and responded almost immediately to any messages or calls sent to him prior to and after our arrival. The place was clean and a lot bigger inside than we expected. The bike race was going on the same weekend we were there, which was pretty cool. Thank you very much, Travis! Bob and Linda Fletcher June 2, 2019
I was a little torn on not giving 5 stars as the apartment and owner were great which is all they can control, but the location is not on my list of places to return to. The owner Travis was incredibly responsive and friendly to deal with and the apartment is large with surprisingly comfortable beds. There is an interestingly diverse selection of VHS tapes, decent wifi included, and I felt it was clean and well maintained as well. Full kitchen and the jet tub was nice as well. My issues were with the locals and it kind of ruined the experience for my family and I. 3 separate instances of what I assume to be locals (given that they all were driving large trucks that had seen better days) slowing down on an empty street to yell something we will say pejorative at me or my family, and one guy actually came to a stop with his tailpipe in front of me so he could rev his engine and kick out a cloud of diesel exhaust on me before slowly driving away on an empty street. If this is happening to a cookie cutter white dude then apparently locals dont actually want tourists there. I grew up in a small town in the midwest and have seen many idiots like these but it was unfortunate to have repeat occurrences while on vacation. Long story short, maybe my experience will be unique, the apartment and owner are great, but Portola isnt a destination for me ever again.
