This property was well-appointed and very welcoming. It has a fully stocked kitchen and coffee bar, comfortable living spaces, and high quality bedding. There is a beautiful private garden area with outdoor dining space and a grill. The owner is a delight to visit with! This will be our go-to lodging for Boston from now on.

We had an amazing stay at Mark's place! The beds were so comfortable, I didn't want to get out of bed. Also had a really great shower. Everything was very clean and it felt very homey. It is even more beautiful than the pictures show, and it is clear that Mark has put a lot of thought into the small details (big thick towels, shampoo/conditioner & body wash etc) to make our stay comfortable. 10/10 experience, we will definitely stay here again next time we visit Boston!

When i booked this property. I admitt i did not read through every fine detail. Arriving to the property it was very nice. Apartment was beautiful, we all got ready and had a night at encore casino. Very quick drive. We arrived back at the apartment around 2am to a man staring out the window in the alpartment above us.A few people stayed outside to have a smoke. Where the man starred constanly making it very uncomfortable. We walked down the street a bit and then the man came outside. He didnt say anything just starred. We went back inside. The next morning the host followed us out side asking for money for the extra people that stayed. I thought i had booked the apartment and didnt even think that he needed a head count, it sleeps 7 so we had 7.but to come outside demanding money and just talking down to me like i was a child. I would never stay there again.

And the location being so close to Boston was amazing. The seller’s instructions were also clear and communication was friendly and responsive. This place is amazing ! Beautiful remodel of an old property. The host had thought of everything that would make this a home away from home! Responsive and incredibly helpful as well. We appreciated the attention to detail and comfort throughout. There are so many touches of excellence. The mattresses and bedding were so comfortable we are sorry to go home to our own beds. The kitchen was well outfitted we could have hosted a fine dinner and would have found all we needed to do so. We were surrounded with elevated comfort our entire stay

We met Mark upon our arrival and he was very kind to give us a tour of his beautiful home. The kitchen was well-equipped to host a dinner and two brunches! The surroundings were beautifully appointed and the setting exceptionally quiet! Will definitely make it a stop again should our travel warrant another visit to that area!

Such a beautiful house. We fell in love with it, it's laid out perfectly and has everything you need , just like your own home. The beds, and sofa, are so comfy. The house is full of little, and big, historical treasures, I loved hearing about where the pieces came from. There's parking! Entry instructions were easy and Mark's communication is brillliant. Hopefully you'll get the chance to meet him, he's fabulous. Highly recommended host and place to stay, well above expectations, had an amazing time there.

Hands down an amazing place to stay! The owner is very friendly, fast with communication and warm welcoming. The home offers so many historical features and charm. A conversation piece. We loved our stay here. We felt like we were at home. The street is quiet. The bonus was parking for our large truck.

This is one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many around the country. Mark lives on site and is extremely friendly and made great suggestions for local and Boston area attractions. He has put a lot of work into the house and the care he has for it shows in the craftsmanship and the cleanliness of the property. We left for Bar Harbor for a couple of days and came back to the Boston are for a few more days after and stayed in a different rental and man do we wish we would’ve stayed in Mark’s place again instead! Great home in a great neighborhood. Any time we come back to Boston this will be the only place we stay at.

This place was beyond pleasant!!! Okay so we had been looking for a stay that would be close enough to easily Uber into Boston for a concert and some tourist stuff. Not only is the location EXTREMELY convenient to downtown Boston, it is super close to Wegman’s, Whole Foods, SO MANY places to eat at and order from. We had a drive way to park in! Bonus! Walking into the home was like entering a classy, yet comfortable living space that we didn’t even know we needed! We just walked through and admired the original charm and detail of each room- built-in shelves, hand carved molding, creative spaces, black and white tiled bathroom, etc… Some fun surprises included FANTASTIC water pressure in the shower, a back porch with a garden view and a couch to lounge on, SUPER comfortable beds and bedding, coffee bar, even the refrigerator was stocked with some niceties to start with! Mark, our gracious host, was super responsive but since he’s such a VRBO pro, we had no problems and no questions! Check in/out instructions were easy and the apartment basically spoke for itself, gave us all we needed for a super chill stay. We WILL be back! Thanks Mark!

Our family has stayed at a lot of properties over the years, but never has there been one so utterly charming, so perfectly appointed, and that immediately felt like home. This one wins the prize, hands down. Mark has thought of literally everything and nothing is left to question. Add in the little touches like good coffee, comfy beds, high quality bedding, HUGE fluffy towels, etc...and you won't want to leave! We sure didn't. Thank you, Mark! Our stay was wonderful, definitely a 5 star review. The beds with hotel style linens, the amazing kitchen with all the modern conveniences, the balcony off the kitchen was lovely, I could go on and on. One thing that made the stay special for me was the coffee and half and half available for our morning coffee. The owner, Mark, was just a phone call away if we needed anything which I really appreciated. Simply a great place to stay and would stay there again!

We had a great stay! Love the historic home and quiet neighborhood. Had a great meal at Faces restaurant close by. Spent a day exploring Boston and a day in Salem. We also drove to Fort Foster in Kittery, Maine. Beautiful area! Beds are very comfortable and surround sound is nice. Had everything we needed. Thanks for having us!

Mark's home offered a perfect stay for my family of four. The home was an impeccably restored property with a proper living room which had very comfortable furniture to relax in. There was a full dining table to eat at and an impressively outfitted kitchen. The bedrooms had the most comfortable beds with high end linens and all the storage you might need. The towels were a very pleasant surprise, super thick and luxurious. And the supplies were abundant. The train to get into Boston was a short drive away. A perfect stay - thank you!

Well equipped for cooking, sleeping, bathing and enjoying the patio in spring

My husband and I stayed here for a night and wish we could’ve spent a week. This place really brings in all the comforts of home - the cleanliness of the home, the quality of the furniture, even the linens and pillows are high end. The bed has to be one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in while traveling. I just really appreciate Mark’s attention to detail in the providing the creature comforts to visitors. And to top it off even the shower had Whole Foods shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! The neighborhood seems very nice and safe which is a big plus and there are plenty of nice restaurants and places to eat at nearby.

Mark thoughtfully provided menus on the kitchen table, which made picking a spot to eat super convenient.All in all, this place was a gem, and we hope to come back for a longer stay in the future.

This beautiful and charming home was everything we thought it’d be and more! Mark was great with communication and his home provided the perfect stay. Booked our stay to attend a concert at Roadrunner in Boston which was an easy Uber ride away. Mark was very kind and allowed us to check in early, the courtyard behind the house was beautiful with a cozy patio furniture to relax in. The house was spotless and beds were very comfortable. Mark was so accommodating for our larger-than-normal family. My wife and children stayed for a couple nights. When we arrived, there were some special accommodations just for us. This was our first AB&B and it was a great experience. The place was very clean and cozy. The kids loved it and it was a nice reprieve outside of the city.

The owner met us at the door and helped us get settled in. He answered all of our questions and gave a great recommendation for dinner. This is an immaculate home with all of the extras, even 4 beers in the fridge for us.

We stayed at Mark's welcoming property September 22 - 27, 2024. The house is so beautifully decorated, and you can see that Mark wants his guests to have all the comforts of home. The kitchen is fully stocked, even with some food. The beds are super comfortable, and he uses fine linens. We had the pleasure of meeting Mark, and he answered all our questions about the area. We used the T (subway) system every day to go into Boston. So easy to navigate. We highly recommend this property - we were 100% satisfied. Thank you Mark for a great stay!

Mark's apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need, especially for a longer term stay. Excellent TV with all the cable channels. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Great laundry area. Nice diverse urban neighborhood close to everything! Short ride into Boston on subway or commuter rail. Mark is a caring and thoughtful host, and has given thought to everything a guest needs to be comfortable. This was our 2nd one month stay, and it's like our home away from home!
