Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Hello! We are Blake and Emily, Arizona natives, new to Milwaukee. The city has quickly grown on us. We invite you to stay with us, over on the Lower East Side. Close to Brady Street and the Lakefront, you'll quickly find out why Milwaukee is such a walkable city!
Everything was as expected and it's in a great location, but there was a lack of toilet paper.
Everithing was so good! It made me feel like in home, it´s a very nice place.
Amazing location, only one block from a great variety of restaurants and bars. The apartment was still quiet at night though, and the bed was comfortable. The owner is very responsive and helpful. This rental is great for couples on a weekend getaway.
I stayed for the weekend to enjoy Irish Fest. Location is great for places to eat and within walking distance to Brady Street if that’s your jam. The unit was clean, looked like the description and has fun wall art. The kitchen has all you need to whip up a tasty meal for yourself. Plenty of room to move around the full bath and the bed is comfy. As a solo traveler, I felt safe in the unit and the immediate neighborhood. The host was friendly and quick to reply to messages.
Perfectly placed for our needs. Close to bars and restaurants and easy access to bike and running paths.
I really enjoyed my time at this VRBO. Everything was clean and was great for the value. Close to a lot downtown.
Property manager was very good to deal with. Located very close to restaurants and bars, with free shuttles to Summerfest! The neighborhood is a little rough around the edges, as well as the condition of the exterior of the home. I did leave a pair of prescription glasses behind, and they were not found.
Great location for nightlife. Neighbors and their dog were loud each night. Super easy walk to the lakefront. Bathroom had a few minor cleanliness issues. Bed and pullout couch comfortable.
We were visiting our daughter who lives in MKE, so we only used this place for parking and sleeping - while cooking, eating, and hanging out at her place. The parking was great, the bed was comfy (once I fixed the loose bedframe), and I really liked the towels they had for us. There was also a really nice coffee machine. However, the place is part of a house that has multiple apartments. It's an old house and while the bungalo served our purpose, you just can't overcome some of the quirks that an old, divided house like this has. Windows that don't lock (kitchen) or close (living room - it was winter, so there was a cold breeze when I was sitting on the couch), no light near the bathroom mirror (shaving was a bit of a challenge with the ceiling light behind me), and *really* inconvenient light switch placement (I know, it sounds trivial... but nothing to turn on when you first walk in at night... behind the bathroom door... A bit of a challenge in the dark.) I felt like they were just getting the place converted from an unrented apartment to a VRBO, so there were a few things lacking for a more involved stay. If you are planning on cooking there, you may need some additional cooking utensils, dish towels, and silverware - that sort of thing. Maybe check back later and they will have a more complete setup. The location was great if you wanted to hit the nightlife on Brady St. and other than the heater (which was pretty loud and woke us up when it turned on) it was quiet despite the busy nightlife just up the road. Even though we didn't need to use it for food storage, I don't think it helped that there were some leftover condiments and a half drank Pepsi in the fridge - it just didn't feel to have the same quality or preparation as other VRBOs we've rented in the past. It worked out for our needs (mainly parking, a place to shower, and a bed), but if I had known this was going to have such a off campus college housing feel, I would have stayed in a different place.
Nice little spot on the trendy East side of Milwaukee. Our son lives nearby, abd we went to the Bucks game & didn’t want to spend $300 for a hotel on top of tickets. This place was just fine. Small and nest, just what we needed!
Great host, very responsive, easy check-in! Also major plus being a 5 minute walk to Brady Street!
The hostess Totally a pain in the ball suck! Unprofessional!
We liked the area it was in. Enjoyed the restaurants in walking distance. Short drive to downtown which was nice since we were there for a conference. Apt was pretty clean. My sister felt she needed to wipe down the shower since there was hair in it. There is only towels and hand towels. No wash cloths. The bed was very firm. I was thankful for fan in room I like to sleep with a fan on to drown out city noise. My sister used the futon. Extra blanket would be nice to have in case people choose it. I realize the house is older. But felt like an update to the entrance steps would be nice and more welcoming. Overall, we were happy with our stay.
