Mid-Century Upper in Riverwest

This is our home away when I'm visiting my college girl. It's conveniently located near the University, lots of things nearby to do, and the garage is a huge bonus. It's a cute little retro apartment that we've stayed in multiple times and will again. If you need handicap accessibility, or bougie luxury, it's not for you. If you like quaint, clean, quiet, roomy accomodations, it's perfect. We love it.

I was traveling solo 3 nights for a lecture series. I loved the MCM style of the apartment! It was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. The information & instructions provided were clear & thorough. The hosts were quick to reply to questions. I additionally appreciated the garage parking & the host shoveled early every morning as a snow storm came through during my stay.

Host was nice

This is a nic location on a main street. You can walk to a few food locations but probably need to drive most times. It's convenient to stores and UWM which was why we stayed there. The home has everything you would need but you can hear the downstairs neighbors at times.

Perfect for what we needed

Great location, very cool mid century modern furniture. It was also a huge bonus to have the private garage space. My only complaint was the combination box to get the keys—it was very difficult to open and I wouldn’t have been able to access it if I didn’t have someone with me who had shorter finger nails.

Karen's place was a true gem! Cutely decorated & clean. Easy check in process & garage parking! Nice neighborhood with easy access to many great local spots. Would book again next time in the area!

Very nice, clean and comfortable. Neat neighborhood. Walking distance to some nice restaraunts and bars. Easy access to downtown. Beds were very comfortable. Only issue was weak WiFi which the host felt might be due to recent storms in the area.

Quick overnight stay for our new UWM student.We arrived late, did not get to experience much of the neighborhood, but the Main Street is noisy. Coffee Shop down the road was a quick walk and fabulous. Close proximity to UWM.

Great spot for our quick Milwaukee visit. Convenient location for our plans. Super communication with host, very clean, lots of space. Loved the mid-century modern furnishings.

We were in town for Summerfest and this location was great, we parked at nearby Shorewood Brat House and shuttled in. The upper flat has a MCM theme and we even enjoyed listening to an album on the working Zenith hi-fi. Comfortable bed, great shower, safety features.

I have a great time

The location was perfect for attending a wedding near by. The host was very friendly and helpful. The private garage was ideal for safe parking of our vehicle. We were very happy with our experience.

Karen was a dream to work with. She was very flexible when I extended the dates of our stay, twice. Kind, helpful, understanding. It was very nice to have a garage, too. I loved the pristine 60's/70's furnishings...brought back fond memories of my parents' house! I will definitely stay here again if the opportunity should arise. Thank you!

We loved the 60's/70's vibe of the place - beautiful furniture that reminded us of our parents' and grandparents' homes. Especially loved the buffet/record player combination - my grandparents had one very similar so it was kind of nostalgic! Very well maintained and Karen was great to work with. I appreciated her flexibility when my sister wanted to stay on a few extra days.

Nice retro apartment with a garage. Several parks are located in walking distance. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.
