Very nice place for a weekend trip. Off the beaten path and peaceful. Will book again.

Perfect private fishing on private pier. Owners live on site, in other half of house, but private rental is blocked off from thier half. Very friendly welcome. We will rent again.

Very clean and comfortable

we had a great time ‘ over all just enough room for 2 couples . Super clean , Small little kitchen area but you quickly learn to work with it can’t complain. Owners made us feel welcomed and were quick to answer any questions. Definitely booking again .

Stay was good but did not get to do much because of the cold weather bed was comfy loved the home and area will stay again great fishing

The place is clean and nice. The view is beautiful and there is great fishing and crabbing.

The only issues we had was the AC changed from what we set it and we had to change it multiple times. We got hot while sleeping. We had a good stay otherwise. Good atmosphere, love the hosts and fishing!

We’ve stayed the last 3 years and love it!! Fishing, relaxing, reading, just a great time for the two of us to reconnect.

It was a very nice place to stay and a perfect location for the activities we did. The patio was very nice and the grill was a hit for us. Art and Gerri were very accommodating and borrowed us some cards to play. They also helped us hook up the mini-propane fire. It was a great place for a few nights stay with a few friends!

Great fishing

The host was great always making sure we were comfortable and they were not intrusive during the stay. The amenities are liked described and perfectly accommodating. Had a great time fishing and reeled in plenty of keepers. I hate to admit it but this time the wife out fished me lol. This was not our first stay here and will not be our last. If you are looking for a relaxing vacay where you can do some fishing this is it. Thank you, Geraldine, for everything hope to stay again sooner rather than later.

Super cute, quaint and clean place. The beds were super comfy and bedrooms were spacious. The pier was awesome, my son caught a ton of fish and had a great time. Great for relaxation and peace and quiet.

Beautiful place very relaxing. The pier at night looks beautiful two bedrooms very comfortable suitable for five people only no kitchen, but an outdoor kitchen. It was nice.

Very clean and comfy rooms, nice deck to sit and take in the breeze. Near by bait shops, one with morning breakfast tacos and lunch plates. If you want to stay in a quiet, peaceful place. For the price I highly recommend this cozzy place. Great communication with property owner.

It was a great relaxing weekend with family! The only downside was not having a kitchen. The outside spaces were great! We just planned ahead and grilled our dinner and ate outside on the patio dining table! Will return again! Hosts were very accommodating and communication was awesome!

Stay was good. Guess I didn't realize it was part of a house. Bathtub had long black hair in it that wasn't mine. I cleaned it but others might get grossed out by that. it was convenient to Baffin Bay fishing. For the price it was good.

Best place we ever stayed on a fishing trip. Fishing was not good. But the place and owners were marvelous. Most definitely highly recommend staying here. And we will be back again

The host were very nice and the place was very clean. Just the right size to get away and enjoy some family time and some fishing.

As an outdoorsy person I absolutely loved the plantings, yard, deck, and seating. So relaxing and comfortable. Was disappointed when pool access was an additional charge, and the temperature kept at 95 degrees. Decor/knick-knacks could have used a good dusting.No breakfast nook or true kitchen.With a make-shift wall separating our two bedrooms, hallway and bath from the owners home, our space was more like a BnB than a VRBO. Could hear every cough, dog bark, door opening and shutting, etc. from the owners on the other side of the wall.

This location was perfect for my wife and I. This little 2 bedroom suite was just right. The fridge was perfect for a weekend-long stay. The outdoor kitchen allowed us to cook all weekend long. If you are looking to relax and do some fishing this place is its own little paradise.

Overall, this is a nice place to stay. Just not for us. After staying here, I can now interpret the description better. This is a nice house but they are only renting out 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. They have closed off a hallway to separate the “apartment”. It’s clean, the beds are comfortable and the outdoor space is nice. Unfortunately, there is not an area inside to gather (there were 3 of us). There are only the two bedrooms. Instead of a kitchen area, there is an apartment sized refrigerator, a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. We set up a portable table (that we brought) so we could have a place to put our snacks and things. It just felt very cramped. The owner was wonderful. She communicated quickly and efficiently. Again, nice place but just not what we needed.

The house is beautiful and it was a wonderful stay. There just isn't a whole lot close by so come prepared!

Great clean place with a nice lighted fishing pier. Drums were biting great on dead shrimp off the left corner. Bedrooms were clean with sofas to relax on besides the bed. Price is perfect for a great fishing getaway.

The accommodations, fishing, and hosts were all great. Everything was as advertised.

We booked our stay for the proximity to South Padre yet more rural. The description stated that the it was an entire home when in fact it was the side entrance to an area of two bedrooms with a frig, microwave and toaster oven in the hallway between the two rooms with the no eating area except outside. We returned from sightseeing on the 2nd night to find several unwanted insects running around. We actually felt uncomfortable staying a 3rd night and checked out early. The host was quick to respond and stated that they would promptly spray, but no compensation was made. The view of the bay was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable.

The Maxwell's were really awesome and accomodating. Caught lots of fish and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We were very pleased with our stay and hope to do it again sometime next year.

The Maxwells were great hosts as always. It was a quite retreat and we enjoyed fishing from their pier!

Very nice place. With owners on-site, you might feel like you are intruding, but it’s not an issue. No kitchen or fridge so don’t brings groceries but it’s way better than a hotel in Kingsville. Great fishing pier. Beautiful views.

This is the perfect setup for an outdoor cooking and fishing relaxing vacation. Plenty of parking for a truck and boat. Easy drive to a public ramp. The back deck had plenty of room to relax, the bbq grill area was awesome. The private fishing pier had a lit up walk way with a big green fishing light, and property was really well kept. We caught plenty for trout off the dock. The bed was very comfortable, the oversized jetted tub was a nice way to wrap up your day. Within a hour and half of Padre Island, which we enjoyed that without pup. Gerri and Art were great people, easy going, and hospitable. We will return for another vacation. Was a great trip!
