Stayed Dec 31, 1969You would never know this was a converted garage. Built as an annex to a splendid private property, the property is well situated just outside Aldeburgh and within easy reach of a large array of Suffolk attractions. It is well equipped and nicely furnished, offering a very sophisticated destination for a short break. Highly recommended.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed the stay it was very relaxing, and we enjoyed our welcome pack. The only down side was we had seen the views of the marsh in the brochure and we could see them through our window, but we were not allowed to approach or go down to it as access to the rear of the property was restricted. We were allowed access to anywhere in the front garden and there was a couple of tables and chairs on one side, but it meant if we had wanted food outside we would have to carry it quiet a way and would have been in full view of anybody coming down the driveway. This restricted us because the dog could not be let out unless one of us was walking it.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We spent a lovely weekend at Marsh View, it’s a wonderful, dog friendly property. A rare find when looking for dog friendly stays. The decor and furnishings are high quality and the apartment is well appointed, including everything required if wanting to cook. It provided us with a luxurious, quiet get away in a beautiful setting. The views across the river and marshes from the rear of the property are beautiful and the Sailors Path is practically on the door step. Sadly it’s not possible to access the court yard or gardens at the rear of the property to make the most of the views. The heating and hot water systems were a little problematic during our stay. The dining area radiator needed to be turned up very high. The property owner responded very quickly and helpfully to the problems with hot water. I would certainly return for another stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Very comfortable, clean and well equipped accommodation with a stunning view of the river estuary. So much better than the other Suffolk Hideaways accommodation we stayed in earlier in the week. Ideal location for exploring the area. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This proved to be an excellent base for us to explore this part of Suffolk. Obviously close to Aldeburgh, but very handy for Snape, Orford, Thorpeness, Minsmere. There are pleasant walks from the property, including one to a bird hide close by.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Delightful apartment in beautiful setting. Our second visit. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and modern bathroom. Good parking at the far end of Aldeburgh, but go early if you want to stop in Southwold.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A wonderful stay in a beautiful apartment close to everything Aldeburgh has to offer. The furniture, white goods were very good. The artwork was very enjoyable. From biscuits, milk and tea and coffee , bathroom supplies to chairs for the beach the owners provided so much to make the stay comfortable . The bed was massive and comfortable and the bathroom was large with shower and bath. A negative for us was that we enjoyed the view of the marsh from our window but not being allowed to enjoy the view from the marsh facing side of the outside of the house was a disappointment. We, of course, honoured the instructions to not go on that side of the house and there was a huge area for sitting in the acres of space on the reverse of the house to sit in, just not of the marsh side.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A beautiful apartment in a fabulous setting and wonderful views of the river and tidal marshes. The apartment was well appointed and the owners thoughtfully provided everything necessary to get you started ; milk, tea, coffee biscuits etc. Huge private grounds at the front with tables and chairs, plenty of space for parking. Lovely area with lots to explore and interesting places to visit, especially for Benjamin Britten devotees!
