Stayed Jan 1, 1This has been our second visit to Marble Lodge and we can’t wait to return next year. The location is incredible and the lodge itself is a complete home from home; so clean and comfortable. Plenty of logs for the fire, faster internet than at home and a very comfy bed. We absolutely love it. The team at Atholl are lovely too.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Fantastic location, incredibly beautiful nature, river next to it, sheep walking by the house. A dream. This is why Marble Lodge is worth a stay. We only finde it a pity that there is a lot dust on each and in every radiator. The kitchen so stove inside was very contaminated, a lot of grease, baking tray completely dirty, water jug completely calcified...it doesn't have to be

Stayed Jan 1, 1This cottage would not be for everyone, but that should be obvious from the description. The only thing that surprised me was the furnishings, which were a bit of a jumble. A decent bedside table would have been appreciated. Furnishings and decor were like being back in the 1960s, but appliances were modern. You can now stream programmes on the smallish TV, although one night that wouldn't work at all (it was on again the next night) so that was unexpected bonus. With an old, low-slung car I worried about the drive in, but taking it carefully it was no problem. I loved the seclusion and the beauty, and would happily return.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We loved it so much in 2024 that we returned with our young adult children in 2025! Above all, the setting is everything for Marble Lodge. You are accepting a more rustic property for its stunning location, offering peace and privacy. This trip we did have a few issues. We lost all water at one point, which is quite an inconvenience when you have five people. We had difficulty connecting with the right people to handle the issue (due to our international phones and lack of signal - we didn't realize there was a house phone for a while!). However, the issue was resolved relatively quickly after we spoke to someone. Later, we lost the hot water and had to call for help to fix it. The washing machine is complicated to use, at least for Americans, as it is VERY different than our system. All of these things can be overlooked in the big picture, due to the kind help we received from the team, but it did impact our plans because we had to wait to get everyone showers. The one thing I would like to see fixed is the bird nests under the eaves of the house. They were not there last August. My son counted just under 50 nests. The birds are constantly flying and diving in and out of the nests, and with lots of birds comes lots of bird deposits. Even the front door had several wet gifts from the birds. Since it is daylight for so long, the birds are active for most of the day.

Stayed Jan 1, 1The glen is a wilderness haven and Marble Lodge is perfectly placed for long and short walks, fishing and shopping in the local villages. The cottage is very comfortable and a generous welcome pack was provided on arrival along with a good supply of logs and coal. Looking forward to returning again in the future,

Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a great half-term break at Blair Atholl. The cottage is wonderful; secluded and remote in the most magnificent glen. We had a couple of storms, and a day's snowfall, but there was plenty of firewood, and we went on some lovely walks through the snow and rain with our dog. Everyone was very helpful as well, one of the fuses went and someone came to help get the lights back on without any problems.

Stayed Jan 1, 1A very comfortable lodge with great privacy. The dog proof fence was a great feature and all the fittings and fixtures in the lodge made for a very relaxing stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I have been coming for years to marble lodge with my dog , this time my youngest got through the broken fence not once but 3 times. I reported and maintenance came out to repair the first hole but whole fence full of holes and needs repaired. Even the gate is broken.. would’ve thought this would have been done before allowing dogs to visit. Thank goodness no sheep around / or cars which she would been underneath and thankfully she didn’t go far as we would never have found her if she did . We were in garden at the time as always but didn’t see hole (s) till she was through them. Meant the whole holiday was spent around monitoring fence when at house

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Wow, wow, wow. This is truly a special place to stay. It is about a 20-25-minute drive into the estate past the main entrance for the Blair Castle, but it is so worth it. How often can you be entirely on your own (other than the sheep!) in a glen in Scotland with a beautiful river and stunning mountains just outside your door? The interior is more rustic than a high-end, modern home, but it goes with the experience. You feel as if you are part of the history of this home. The main bedroom bed is equivalent to a US double/full, but it was very comfortable and had quality linens. The second bedroom is much bigger. It was just two of us, so we used the floor space in the second bedroom to spread out our suitcases. The kitchen is well-equipped and easy to use. The family room is so cozy, with two small sofas and a fireplace. Wood was provided. Signs recommend not drinking or using the water to brush your teeth, but large bottles of water were provided (extras in the barn). The sheep are frequent visitors. We got groceries in Aviemore on the way down from Inverness. There is not a large grocery close by, so I recommend this. Easy visit to the castle and gardens (we did them over two days) and gorgeous hikes right from the lodge. We certainly see why families stay here over and over again. If it is available, book it!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a magical stay at the Marble lodge. We are still a little bit in aww about the beautifull view we had every day. The little cottage between the beautifull, magical mountains!! The place is a reel zen place. We went to the water a couple of times and we enjoyed great walks. We did our first Munro and we are hooked. Blair Castle is great to visit. We hope to come back. It had a special place in our hearts!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really enjoying our stay at Marble Lodge, the cottage itself was really comfortable and well equipped, but it's the location that really makes this place special. Great walks from the doorstep, we were able to bag some local munro's, and made use of the free pass to the castle too where we were able to see some beautiful antiques as well as learn more of the history of the estate and owning families. Will definitely be looking at other properties available for future visits.
