This place was great for travel with a broad range of ages. 6 of us traveled from the US, my 18- and 21-year-olds, .along with my parents in their 70's. It was spacious, kids slept on the sofa beds that were large, no complaints. This area is in the new part of Monterosso, the old city is a 10-minute walk away along a beautiful beach boardwalk, filled with restaurants, gelato, shops total beach vibes. We bought our own Umbrella and went to the free public beach Fegina, just down the street. Yet, plenty of lounge chair with umbrella rentals already set up on the beach. Old town is with more authentic shops and restaurants. All was wonderful, best food ever! We would enjoy full days of poking around Monterosso and we traveled all five villages by train, 5 minutes from the place. The host was very good with communication via VRBO, so download the app. There is no AC, but it was never unbearable. A very nice breeze at night. My husband sleeps in 63 degree AC at home, he was able to sleep fine. The area was great for my family, and we would certainly rent this place again! We fell in love with Cinque Terre, sad to leave!!

The apartment was big and had all the listed amenities. Check in and communication was excellent. We stayed during some of the hottest and humid weather and found it difficult to sleep at night. There was no breeze even if you opened the windows at night. Not sure if that is because of the building location (blocked by other buildings or lack of wind in area) the apartments right on the beach would get some breeze at night but not much. I’ve read on other reviews about the train noise but I don’t think it would be any less in any other hotel/apartment so I can’t say that is a negative. Just something you have to deal with if staying in Monterosso or other Cinque Terre towns (they are all small and close to the train station). Monterosso definitely has the most nightlife and restaurants and biggest beach so enjoy a day at the beautiful beach just steps away. Overall a 4 star rating just due to the difficulty of sleeping due to the stagnant hot air night. Would be a five star if it had air conditioning and it was lacking in basic cooking needs (salt and oil specifically). Wifi speed was 1.5 mbps download at best so could do only limited things no video streaming (pretty typical of small remote towns in Italy). Thanks to Amedeo for being a great communicator.

We spent six nights in Monterosso and really enjoyed the apartment. We liked the fact it was outside of the main street and tucked far enough back to have privacy and a quiet environment. The host was very responsive and answered our questions very quickly. We would highly recommend this apartment!

We enjoyed the apartment - very clean, well lit, loved the high ceilings and the quaint porch on both floors. Great option for a family with separate bedrooms on 2nd floor. Good location - short walk up from the beach; apartment is located at the North end of town. Very helpful owner - very responsive to any questions that arose during the stay. Very accessible to beach and train station. Noise wasn't too bad - it is located across the street from the rail line but not too disruptive.

Being a resort town in high season, I understand the price per night. However, the walls in the unit were not insulated and noise from the near by train and surrounding residents was bothersome. Also, the pictures online are a little deceiving. Most furniture in the unit was very worn and outdated and beds/ bed sheets left a lot to be desired. Hot water for the shower was also hit or miss. On the bright side, the unit was a short walk to the train station and the beach.

Great place to stay. Easy walk to the public beach for a swim. Great restaurants a walk away. Hidden back in a neighborhood, your hear the train but it's not bad. We had trouble with the hot water but it mostly worked. Sleeping was good for 4 people but uncomfortable for the other 2. We were 6 persons. I would stay there again, it's hard with six people. Not a lot to choose from.

This was such a great location for my family. There was 5 of us, all adults. It felt like a home away from home. Amedeo was always very quick in his response and his assistant Oliver was there to show us all the essentials and quick in his responses as well. It was well equipped with all the necessities. We had s very enjoyable time there, swimming, hiking and it was a very quite location yet close to everything. I would highly recommend it and would stay there again and again if I was so lucky yo be able to travel there again. I would only add one comment that would be a slight negative and that would be the mattresses could be of better quality and could be more comfortable than they were. But a small price to pay for the overall experience.

I fully enjoyed my stay at Amedeo's apartment in Monterosso. As advertised the apartment is within 3-4 minutes walk to the beautiful beach of Monterosso where the hiking trail to Levanto starts. The train station is within 5-7 minutes walk too so the location is very convenient. The apartment is airy and bright, clean and equipped with all the basics including utensils in the kitchen. . Amedeo was very friendly and kind in communication throughtout from the booking to departure. 5 star accommodation and highly recommended to anyone visiting Monterosso.

Communication was good and hosts were flexible. Location is nice as it's away from the busy street, yet easy access to the beach and shops in the new-town. There is one parking spot for a small-ish car. However, we had some issues. The shower head sprays everywhere but down, so we mostly held the one from the tub controls. The internet was hit or miss. Seems it would drop out for no reason. There appears to be no heat or A/C in the apartment, which presents a bit of a problem when it's cool outside and especially when traveling with children. There was a small portable heater left in the apartment, which we had to shuffle from room to room. My guess is the apartment would drop down into the mid-50's at night. Too cold for small children who don't understand sleeping under covers. Removing the trash and recycle is the tenants responsibility. Which is something I don't mind doing, but we stayed in 3 other apartments while in Italy and this was significantly more expensive than the others and provided the least comfort and ammenities. Kitchen was adequate for cooking simple meals. Beds were typical hard European affair. I would consider staying here again when the weather was warmer and if I couldn't find something less expensive.

We travelled 6 weeks with another couple in Europe. We stayed in 9 places and this is the only one we were unhappy with. It felt old and tired. It was clean at least and the location is fine but that is about all we can say good about it. Dark, no dishwasher which is fine but not dishtowels supplied either! Poor lighting, shower was pathetic, walls need paint. If owner put some TLC into it it'd be fine but would not recommend this place at all.
