Stayed Apr 7, 2024We did not stay at this B&B. This was because the host never answered any of my communications for 5 months then on the morning of our arrival in Carcassonne he deems to answer. Our Group stayed elsewhere.

Stayed Jul 22, 2023This place in Carcassone was perfect for our family vacation. The location could not be better! Our family of 5 spent 2 nights here and it was fantastic for our stay. It was approximately a 5-10 minute walk to the old cite. The place was in an old building, but beautifully maintained. The view from the family room of the castle and ramparts was outstanding! Jean was initially difficult to reach as we booked it through VRBO, but the booking was through an alternate source. However, he sent all the appropriate information and was very clear in terms of the process on the day of arrival with clear Information.

Stayed May 31, 2023We enjoyed our stay in this neighborhood. The views of the city walls from our windows were spectacular and there are several excellent restaurants just a stone’s throw from the apartment. I was also glad to have garage parking, though it cost an extra 19 euros a night. The downside to this apartment was three floors of winding, uneven stone steps with no railings. My mother managed to navigate these with the help of a cane, but we would not have stayed here if we had known about the steps.

Stayed Jul 27, 2022We stayed at Masion Bacaou 2 for only two nights. I was traveling with my children. The apartment was in a great location with the best view of the walled city. Jean Bacaou was an amazing host and very responsive to my texts as check in was a little precarious without clear marking on the building. There was air conditioning which we never even used. You get a great cross breeze if you open the windows in the living areas. We enjoyed ‘the city’ but also enjoyed walking over the bridge to enjoy the town of Carcassonne as well. The garage parking was invaluable since we were traveling France by car. I can’t imagine a better venue to stay in Carcassonne.
