Magnificent charming apartment in the historic center

Great location for exploring Normandy

Convenient for what we wanted to do.as seniors very hard to bring luggage to the top floor. Appreciate the manager extending our stay for 1night. No elevators and spiral staircase.

Great location, nice apartment. However, the side tables by the bed were both broken and we were unable to use them. Our check in process was not smooth. The owner had asked us to wired money directly to their account which was not our understanding of how the transaction was mean to occur. We contacted VRBO and they contacted the owner who eventually sent us a site where we could complete payment. This was unfortunately, an unexpected waste of our time.

Check-in was not a problem however there was an issue with payment. We had to contact VRBO directly so that payment was accepted. The landlord wanted us to go to a bank and wire the payment??? VRBO contacted the owner and then we were able to pay via a site that was sent to us directly using our Visa card. The apartment itself was good. Excellent location. The side tables attached to the wall by the bed were falling off and so we couldn’t use those either. It is a good location though. Parking is offsite at your own expense.

We absolutely loved this apartment! The location was unbeatable. The apartment was clean, safe, and exactly what we needed for our long weekend in Caen. If you rent a car, there’s a parking garage close to the property that was safe and affordable! We would absolutely stay here again!

The property was well located, clean and easily accessible. It was very convenient to explore Caen and Bayeux from this base. There is a lovely restaurant diagonally opposite on rue des Namps (La Casinière). My one small complaint is that no tea towel was supplied, and yet there was an expectation to wash and dry the dishes before leaving (perfectly happy to do that). I sent a message the day we arrived regarding this and no reply was received.

This apartment was absolutely perfect for two! We loved the large windows, location to restaurants and night life, and safety. I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Caen. Tip - if you're renting a car like we did, park at Parking Indigo Caen Hotel De Ville Parking. It's very safe, about 20 euros a day, and a 5 minute walk to the apartment.

Excellent location for exploring the old city and visiting the main sights. Also plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from. Rue Froide had many independent shops to enjoy.

The location of this flat is great. The check in and comms with the proprietor were also good. The things that weren't so great: no toilet paper, no dish soap, no top sheet on the bed, bedding did not appear freshly washed, fact it's up 37 stairs is never identified. I'm glad I am young enough and strong enough to lug my full sized suit case up there. I feel for those who aren't.
