Stayed Sep 5, 2025The apartment was in the beautiful St Andrew’s chapel . The apartment was very spacious . It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. One bedroom is large and opens out onto the rest of the apartment . It has an en suite . The other bedroom is smaller . The other bathroom is on the first floor. There was a washer dryer . It had a clothes rack and an iron . The grounds were beautiful and right on Loch Ness. The shower in the downstairs bathroom drained slowly. The Boathouse restaurant was very good . It was central to the Highlands and we used it as our base for 5 days . Would highly recommend the apartment for a wonderful stay .

Stayed Aug 1, 2025Our family of 4 had a 24 night stay. Overall a good stay, and normally would not comment on these shortcomings but at the price point it is worth noting. The layout of the unit is odd. The master bedroom is not enclosed and really no noise barrier between the rest of the apartment. We had an early riser in our group which made sleeping in the morning hard. The bedrooms are separated from the apartment by closing fireproof doors which took a lot of charm away. Unit has some wear and tear that could easily be fixed. The kitchen is not very well equipped which made cooking difficult. The oven is impossible to use and gave my wife fits every time she attempted it. The shared amenities (pool, tennis, gym) need to be booked and seem to fill up at the time you need them. The pool had a charge of 5 pound per person after 5 which is really disappointing. The stain-glass windows are a nice touch, but we lost reality with the weather because we could not see out, and generally makes the space dark. All that said, there are many great things too about the unit and we are glad we stayed here, but would not come again.

Stayed Jul 13, 2025The apartment is beautifully decorated. Everything seemed to be of high quality, including the beds, towels, etc. The location is excellent as you can go north or south within an hours drive to reach many sites. The property is right on the lake so it is very nice to just sit and relax there. our only issue was with the man who checked us in and was supposed to show us the appliances, etc. in the apartment. He seemed in a rush to do this as quickly as possible, and was not terribly thorough. Because of this, we were unable to use the stove for two days, until we requested another staff person to come and show us how to use it. Secondly, it would be nice to have a few extra supplies on hand such as garbage bags and toilet paper, which there was none when we arrived. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment, especially for adults.

Stayed Sep 16, 2023Fort Augustus was great and we enjoyed a couple of meals and walking around. The Highlands Club was much more impressive than we understood and we also wished we had planned more time on property. The view of Loch Ness alone was mesmerizing. Our particular apartment was in the Abbey with incredible architecture and stained glass windows. The apartment had everything including an incredible kitchen and dining area. We knew from the pictures that the decor was pretty specific. Furnishings including the beds were getting old and in need of upgrade. Overall, Fort Augustus and the Highland Club are very positive long term memories for our family.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a once in a lifetime stay- such an incredible opportunity to stay in an historic place in a beautiful town. Check in was a travesty, but once we got into the room it was worth it
