Stayed Dec 20, 2025This laiting seems to be fake. We never got into property as host never provided code, host phone number provided was local but answer notified us it was disconnected. Good news is VRBO refunded our entire stay after we filed complaint within 12 hours. More recent reviews in October that we reviewed on arrival show interior and exterior pics of the listing are not the same as online.

Stayed Oct 18, 2025Be very curious and cautious if you are to stay at the property. The listing itself appears to be from when the unit was first put on VRBO. It definitely is in need of a deep clean. Grit and grime galore. At first sight the unit was as expected minus the overwhelming scent of marijuana that permeated everything in it, including the clothes you unpack. The property manager was initially cordial to deal with until a problem arose. He noted an issue w the 1st floor bathroom ceiling that was going to be repaired on the following Tues. Coincidentally, the day after we were to check out. A thunderstorm passed over on night one of our stay, creating a severe leak into the 1st floor bathroom. It became unusable. There was also a leak in the skylight in the dining area. The garbage bucket was used to collect the water. Outreach to the property manager to which no reply was received. We opted to check out the day before we were supposed to due to the mess that was not important to the owner or property manager. Also, if you are a group of young girls be aware of the location of the property. An all night party was taking place in the unit next door and it’s not recommended to walk alone in the area. Another expense added was a car due to this. If you read the listing for what it is, a party pad - have at it. Just have low expectations of your sleeping arrangements and bed linens. Would recommend packing your favorite blanket.

Stayed Nov 8, 2024The best thing about this place is how many people it can sleep. If you are looking for a place for a large group-- 12-15--to all be together in the corktown area, which is super cool, and walk to a bunch of bars and MGM, this will work. But it is NO FRILLS. Really. It's more of a party pad than an apartment. The building looks scary and it is industrial, but the neighborhood was fine-- would not walk alone as a women, but fine for a group. If you plan to use the futons for sleeping, you will be in folding chairs in the big open area with folding tables. No cups or closets to speak of. You get a key, no push code entry. There are odd intersections of walls and pipes that sometimes do not totally close. We thought we might see mice or bugs but we never did, nor any signs of them. The floor in the picture looks like nice hardwood, and it is real wood, but it is old and dirt gets into the cracks. Not trying to scare you off, just trying to be real. I would not recommend with small children. There are really no doors on anything but the bathrooms so expect to wear ear plugs or headphones to bed. The property manager, Tony, was responsive.

Stayed Sep 13, 2024We found this property perfect for our group. The property manager met us at check-in so we could do a walkthrough. it was clean and very much like the photos on the VRBO site. Communication was great and the location was perfect! Safe area for parking and walking. Will be back!

Stayed Jun 15, 2024The property has a lot of potential. The location is great for access to downtown Detroit with out the downtown price tag. The exterior of the warehouse and lot across the street (parking) is not the most pleasant and some people might be leery to park their car there and stay. The rest of the neighborhood is new and very modern, with great options to eat and drink just block away. There is no evidence that shows they have had any issues of theft or vandalism. The interior photos of the loft listed on the site, I can only assume to have been taken when it was first listed. There has been a lot of ware and tear since than. Also the experience we had was not great with the cleanliness. The unit had not been deep cleaned in months I can only assume. The kitchen area could be best described as a bad frat house, the shelves in the cabinets were removed and items were just thrown in. The plastic stick on surround around the back of the stove area was melted. The bathrooms were barely surfaced cleaned. The furnace filter and the ceiling fan in the unit all had thick layer of dust. All the baseboards/floors have dirt/grime/dust. The DIY A/C exhaust port in the living room had no cover and was open to the outside. I detailed all of this to keep the property owner accountable and they also been informed of the issues and said they will be addressing everything. I hope they do fix and clean the unit. The property has all the potential to be a great place to rent. and wish no ill will.
