The Chartrons is the district of the bons vivants and the antique dealers. Historically, the Chartrons was the district of the wine merchants.
Traditionally the life of the district is organized around the Place des Chartrons (10 mins from the apartment) which offers 360° bars and restaurants and a small covered market. But also the Rue Notre Dame (10 mins from the apartment) where you can find second hand goods dealers and independent designer stores. Not to mention the mythical Chartrons market on the quays every Sunday until 2pm. It's the perfect place to have lunch in the open air.
