Stayed Jun 4, 2026This was our 2nd stay but were in a different unit last time that was larger and bedroom was separate but it was not available this time. The unit we got was clean and well stocked and definitely met our needs even if smaller. There are a lot of steps but we knew that. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Lone Star.

Stayed May 31, 2026Delightful, quiet, clean, comfortable stay in this little slice of heaven at Lake Junaluska. Very appreciative of the fully stocked kitchen and amenities and the little extras; snacks, coffee pods, soaps, games, area information, and even a flashlight! Grateful for time spent on the beautiful deck with only the sounds of birds and wind rustling thru the leaves. Easy, clear check-in/out procedures and instructions and communication with gracious hosts. I was at the lake for a conference so didn’t get to spend as much time at Lone Star as I would’ve liked. I hope to visit this wonderful spot again soon for a true retreat!

Stayed Jun 29, 2025Lovely stay at the Lone star! Clean and cozy, overlooking gorgeous Lake Junaluska. We enjoyed daily strolls around the lake with our fur baby, and loved the convenience of being close by to Waynesville and Maggie Valley.

Stayed Oct 19, 2024This was a cozy and comfortable place! My husband and I especially enjoyed the spacious deck and view of the lake and beautiful neighborhood. We were also super impressed with our hosts who thought of every possible need including a very helpful notebook full of information on the area and tasty snacks too! We definitely plan to revisit the great place again!

Stayed Oct 10, 2024This studio was perfect for our family of four. The place was clean and had everything we need. Host provided complimentary treats/water, which my kids enjoyed. Very good communication with host. They had a local soap product in the kitchen and bathroom and we were able to pick some up in Waynesville. Nice location for a little getaway at the top of the hill and within a beautiful community.

Stayed Jul 17, 2024We loved our time at Lake Junaluska and this particular place gave us the best of both worlds—we were in walking distance to the lake and pool, but we were hidden away in the trees which kept things cool in the July heat. We’ll be back!
