Le terrazze nel cuore della Kalsa by Wonderful Italy

I'm sorry to say this apartment (which is not cheap) did not match the photos (no plants on the terraces, no drinks table on the roof terrace, no rug in the lounge, no bedspread in the bedroom, no products in the bathroom etc). It had dirty floors, surfaces and windows. It clearly hadn't been cleaned since previous guests weeks ago, judging by the dust and dirt and it had the most unpleasant smell- which is clearly a known issue given the enormous scent diffuser. In addition the power cut out when we had both air cons and kettle on, and no instructions are provided in the manual to explain the trip switch is in the ground floor foyer. It's such a shame as the area is fabulous with great restaurants and delis nearby and easy (free) parking at the nearby piazza (inside the ztl). Nevertheless, although our stay was unpleasant, we had a great time in Palermo. The management company accepted our poor experience and provided a partial refund. We would recommend the neighbourhood just not this property.

We loved this top floor(s) apartment! The two outdoor decks were amazing as places to relax with a glass of wine after a long day. Our first night, the electricity went out (we were not warned to avoid using the washing machine while using other applicances, but I'm guessing that is what caused it), and when we contacted the support line, the person knew exactly where to tell us to go (on the first floor) to reset the breaker -- it would not have been intuitive, so we were glad for the prompt assistance (we later noticed this was covered in the comprehensive manual that was sent when we checked in). Parking around there was challenging; we did not find a parking garage nearby, so just plan for extra time if you have a rental car, and read the street signs carefully. The only thing I would suggest is an extra key -- we were three adults, sometimes wanting to go off on our own, so having just one apartment key forced us to coordinate a bit more than we otherwise might have. Overall, though, great location and great apartment.

We stayed in the apartment for 4 nights, there is a bedroom for 2 people and a nice sleeping couch in the living room. We weren't able to use the sleeping area upstairs, which is meant for one extra person, since we stayed in Palermo in September and this area of the apartment was too hot. The other rooms can be cooled effectively with the two given air conditioners. The outside areas were the highlight of the apartment. There are two spacious terrasses, both of which overlook the city beneath and the views are spectacular. There is also an outside cooking area and multiple seating areas. The apartment is located very nicely in the city centre and is surrounded by restaurants and bars.
