If you stay here, be prepared to share a bathroom with everyone on the floor. Be sure to verify the cleaning fee, the daily rent does not reflect that. It is in a historic district, and steps away from the T line. But, many places are a short walk from the T. For what worked out for the same price per night, i could have stayed in a place with much better amenities. I was under the impression this was an apartment with a bathroom, not the case. Oh yeah, people creeping up the fire escape next to my room at night, joy.
the room was great, bigger than the pictures looked! And they stocked the room with everything we could have needed
I never write reviews because frankly, I am lazy. This place deserves one. I had a class scheduled in Boston College for the weekend and brought my 71 year old mother as she wanted to walk around Boston. The pungent smell of bad cheese and marinara sauce hits you upon entering. I choose to stay in places where I can prepare meals due to serious food sensitivities and the common kitchen is repulsive to say the least. Anything I touched was sticky and dirty and decided against cooking. We slept in fear of having cockroaches in the room. Found one in my cooler the morning of checkout. I have a picture for proof. That being said, I had requested a later check out so my elderly mother would have some extra time on Sunday while I attend my class but I never heard an answer. Finally management agreed but my mother just wanted to leave. The management has a great photographer. But it’s all lies. Stay in a hotel.
Great property manager, great location and quiet at night.
We very much enjoyed our stay in this charming little apartment. The room was small, but provided everything we needed; very comfortable bed, comfy, relaxing chairs, plenty of room for our gear. The room shared a communal bathroom with the rest of the floor. But, there was never any wait, or problem. The surrounding area is quiet, and serene, with several great little eateries. Close proximity to Fenway Park, and several small parks made for some good walks. Easy access to the metro made getting around the city very simple. Overall, a great place to stay. I would definitely consider it again
Small and tidy room, the perfect location for Boston tourists. Loved the historic boarding house feel. Make sure you're ready to carry your suitcases up stairs. Property managers are great at sending you all the information you need and checking in on you during your stay. Highly recommend!
Once you walk out the front door you can jump on the train, go to Wholefoods or a good restaurant on the block. The room is small but it's comfy and perfect because we don't spend much time in the room.
