Need to climb 33 steps to get in the unit. The kitchen is a nightmare, beat up chipped counters, disgusting rusty and stained cookware, 2 of the 3 outlets don’t work. The blinds throughout the place are either broken or missing. I do not recommend having a car here. The parking situation is terrible, You can park on the incredibly busy street during the day (if you find a spot) then at precisely 8 PM you have to move to a parking lot 10 minutes away. It has to be at or after 8PM to use the kiosk for payment for overnight parking. Not 7:45 PM, so that screws up any evening plans. The air conditioning is not adequate. Window units in the bedrooms work fine, but the portable unit in the living room was noisy and wouldn’t cool the space, and it wasn’t even that hot outside in September.Even though other reviews mention that the owner responds quickly, I sent numerous texts and messages through VRBO that were not responded to. Finally heard back on day 2 and the host response was patronizing, stating every other reviewer thought it was great. A tall person cannot be in the upstairs bedrooms. Low ceilings and very low showerhead made it uncomfortable to say the least. The shower rod downstairs was crusted in rust. On the plus side, it is a short walk to the T train to downtown Boston. I don’t understand the previous reviewers giving it high marks.

Location for us was a plus for this particular trip. While we were just three of us, this would be lots of room for a large group.

The location is very good, close to the train station. You can hear traffic noise from outside early in the morning, and there is a lot of light coming in because the windows don't have blackout curtains. It doesn't have a garden, as mentioned in the description. There were 8 of us, and the space was okay. The place was clean, and the host was always very friendly.

This unit has no overnight parking at the property and it was not disclosed to us until we checked in the day of arrival. Closest parking was a public lot that was a 10 minute walk. Weather was in the 30s with freezing rain. We really feel like we were deceived. Owner could have arranged for an overnight parking permit. We will never rent from this host again.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the spaciousness of the skyrise. We loved the variety of great locally owned restaurants and shops in the neighborhood ((just head up Harvard and Washington streets). Note: Boylston is on a very busy street, and there is a lot of light coming in through the white mini blinds from buildings surrounding this one. So earplugs and a sleep mask are recommended if you have sensitivity to street noise or light.

This host does a really fine job of accurately describing the property and its setting. I appreciate this - and the place was cheerful, well maintained, and easy to find. We took the train into Boston, and the station is a three minute walk from the property. Also great restaurants and coffee very nearby. Our first VRBO experience, and a wonderful example of quality and kindness.

We had a little family get together to go see some Red Sox games. This was a really nice space to do it - The whole family didn’t stay, but the spacious living room dining room allowed the rest of the gang to come visit comfortably. To be fair, I am biased towards the Brookline location because I lived there, but it really is a great part of town with everything you need nearby and very easy to get to downtown

Stayed here with friends for a concert at Fenway. Although, the apartment is above a business and it doesn’t have the best “curb appeal”, it is very nice inside. The living/dining room is bright and couches are comfortable. The beds are comfortable as well. I stayed in the upstairs bedroom and did not hear street noise as warned in property’s description. My friends did on the first floor, however, earplugs were provided by host which was thoughtful. Overall, a nice place to stay!

We had a comfortable stay for 3 nights. Plenty of room for 5 adults to visit together & still have personal sleep space. Ulrich was responsive to our questions. Consider this property if you are looking for lodging in the Brookline area.

Stayed here over a long weekend with eight friends. Property was clean, easy to access, in a great location, and the property manager was responsive. Would highly recommend for any large group traveling to Boston, or a family looking for a place for potentially a longer stay.

Parking was a nightmare and the condo was super hot when we got there. The AC units were not keeping up. After a while, the place cooled down and was enjoyable. They had wine, chips and salsa and coffee pods ready to go. My only suggestion would be an advanced warning about the parking. The closest lot was Kent St, which is less than a half mile. Property host had great communication with us!!!

This was a beautiful home and great location for accessing the T and seeing Boston. The neighborhood was very safe and my family and I really enjoyed our stay! The walks to nearby shops and especially to a small grocery store were gorgeous.

Everything about this listing was accurate. Great location, very clean and light. Nice extra touches like coffee, a bottle of wine and chips and salsa for a very hungry group. Timely communications with host. Highly recommend. If I were to suggest a very small change, a new toaster would be great. ( That’s a pretty picky suggestion I admit)
