L'Appart, charm and confort

L'APPART is an outstanding apartment for a long-term stay. My husband and I lived here for 6 weeks (mid-September through end of October) and enjoyed every moment. The apartment itself is large, very comfortable and incredibly well-equipped with literally everything provided, including changed linens throughout our stay, and an extremely well-equipped kitchen. (We ate in most meals.) The location is wonderful for living in the village, as well as exploring the surrounding area, with a wonderful bakery just steps away and restaurants in the Place de la Mairie and Cours Gambetta very close (especially recommending new restaurants Jeanot and Picotte Provence). As others have said, and we want to echo with great enthusiasm: we are deeply appreciative of Marie-Agnes's communications, her welcome - including the very generous homemade appetizers of tarts and pasta salad and wine - her hospitality throughout our entire stay, and her genuine care for us and our needs. She was never more than an email away and resolved any unusual matter immediately, even if it meant sending over a friend when she was not in the village herself. We have experienced many rental hosts and Marie-Agnes is the very, very best! You will not meet a host who is more authentically kind and attentive. We are desperate to return.

L'Appart was the best VRBO place we've ever stayed! The apartment is spacious, extremely comfortable and has everything you might possibly want or need. Our host, Marie-Agnes, provided a most delicious savory meal to welcome us on our arrival. She made herself available during our stay to answer any questions, and it is clearly important to her that those staying in L'Appart have the best Cotignac experience possible...and we did. Lovely host, lovely apartment and lovely village - a stay we'll always remember!

This property was excellent value for money and the owner, Marie-Agnes was very attentive. She left us some excellent French dishes and a bottle of wine on arrival. Would recommend for a couple, although there are bunks in the second bedroom should a family wish to stay.

Marie Agnes’ place was perfect for our stay in Cotignac. We chose the location to be close to Gorge du Verdon. Sadly, the place was closed during our stay. Marie Agnes made us welcome dishes on our first night, which were wonderful. Her apartment was very clean and well stocked. The only thing we would recommend is to have a holder for the shower head in the bathroom to make it easier to shower. Her place has an air conditioning in the living room, but not the bedrooms. However, at nights, the air seemed cool and tolerable on hot days in the summer. I would highly recommend her place for those wishing to stay in Cotignac.

A very warm welcome with tarts, bread and wine left for us after a long day's travel. The host was very helpful and available at all times. Excellent accommodation with a great location just two minutes from the high street. Would thoroughly recommend.

Cotignac is a truly charming village and our stay at this apartment was a pleasure. It was clean and tidy and well equipped. When we arrived the owner, who is lovely and helpful, had two homemade tarts and a pasta dish ready for us which was so appreciated after a flight from Canada. From the apartment we could tour the little villages or reach the main highways easily and within 1 - 2 hours be at many of the major tourist destinations in Provence. Be aware, if you are driving, that Cotignac is an old village and the streets are narrow and winding but certainly manageable. Street parking available although we left our car in a car park that was a short walk away. All in all a lovely spot to stay!

This is a fantastic apartment right in the center of charming Cotignac. Very clean and very well equipped with quality tableware, appliances, bed linens and all the little necessities (Nespresso pods, laundry/dishwasher detergent, aluminum foil, etc) provided. The Apartment is in an ancient building, but everything inside is modern and functions very well including an excellent AC unit which we rarely needed. My spouse and I enjoyed our one week stay here especially the very warm welcome by Marie Agnès who took her time to show us where everything was in the apartment, left us a bottle of the excellent local wine, and baked us two delicious tarts. We would love to come back.

Very comfortable bed, well-supplied kitchen, good shower...everything you need in the rental. Very cordial host, who left us some lovely tartes for snack. Good variety of restaurants in the village. Be sure to visit the Cotignac wine-tasting beside the big parking lot at the edge of the village. Very good wines!

Not only is Cotignac and this apartment delightful, but the owner Marie Agnes is superb. She is so gracious, so organised and has ensured that everything needed is available. An extremely thoughtful host!!!

Very well situated in this lovely old town . A minutes amble to the quaint shops, bars & restaurants. Marie-Angus made us so welcome, even meeting us to show us the way!. Kindly leaving us pies, bread & WINE in her fridge!
