Stayed Sep 11, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at the property, but I highly recommend that the owner renovates some portions of the property. In particular some of the inside stairs seem to be close to failure and could lead to serious injuries. Similarly, the entire dock seems to be in disrepair and is littered with dangerous elements, especially for anyone who may have just climbed out of the water and may be a little wet. Please make some upgrades to keep the property a safe place to visit

Stayed Aug 16, 2025The house was perfect for our annual lake trip with 10 adults. The house was very clean. We loved that each bedroom had a bathroom. The proximity to several marinas was very nice. We spent a lot of time swimming by the dock.

Stayed May 29, 2025We had an enjoyable few days at the house. Everything was as advertised, but it was tough to get to the dock for anyone with any stability issues.

Stayed Aug 29, 2024Great location but the BNB itself needs some work. Steps to the dock are an absolute. We had guests fall trying to get to the dock due to lack of a safe route. Property is basically finished but very clean. Overall good stay.

Stayed Jun 30, 2024Great location and house. DJ was in constant communication and everything was perfect. He plans to add concrete steps to the dock in the near future which is the last thing the house needs. Highly recommend.

Stayed Apr 11, 2024We had a great stay. We had a large group and it handled the crowd great. The open concept was perfect for hanging out and spending time together all in one room. Stayed Nov 21, 2023The house was great there was plenty of room for everyone. The ladies loved the kitchen area it was great for preparing our food and the clean up. Some of the family even went fishing. The great grandchildren wanted to stay longer We truly enjoyed your house Thanks for everything supplied.

Stayed Jul 16, 2023This was a fantastic home for a large group. The dock is wonderful, and close to Sugar Hollow and Shanghai marinas to gas up any boat you bring. You can launch from Deerfield which does charge $25 to launch and $7/d to store your trailer. The dock has two slips and can accommodate an in/outboard motor on the right but not a V-drive on the right due to hydraulic lift. A pontoon or V-drive can go on the left slip of the dock as you pull in. The entry code is on the digital door handle not the outside lockbox. Carpool if possible, parking is limited to 3-4 cars in the flat part of the driveway. Walk down to dock is all dirt and mulch which is not good in the rain, but not that bad if you’ve stayed at other places on the lake with steep descents to the water. All appliances and deck grill and A/C worked great. Beds are fine. Great pool table and ping-pong, and foosball table as well as video game downstairs. So nice to have 6 full bathrooms which all worked great. Bring extra towels for showers if you have a big group. Only 12 bath towels provided for our trip, but they may provide more in the future. Internet worked great with only 2 devices. When a full house was on their devices, the internet came to a complete halt. DJ Hume was easy to communicate with before, and during our stay. He may get a better internet router or upgraded service in the future as this was our true only downside to this beautiful home.

Stayed Jun 24, 2023The home is very spacious. It needs a few things on the walls to cut down on the echo. The king beds are not comfy at all but all the rest were great. The kitchen is really well stocked. We did not have soap or shampoo provided with our stay even though it was in the description. There was not a fire pit as described. Also the dock had multiple chairs broken. The dock is very difficult to get to. Stairs or a ramp to get down the very steep embankment is needed. It made it very difficult for the young kids and the older adults to go to the dock. The kids LOVED the game room. They were disappointed that there were only two tvs one upstairs and one down. The house is nicely furnished. The grill had very little gas in it. In the middle of cooking burgers it ran out and we had to bring them in. So it was a mixed bag of great space but the managing part fell short. No shampoos or soap no fire pit no gas for the grill no safe access to the dock these were the downers. It is a GREAT family reunion house though.
