Stayed Dec 31, 1969I wish I could live in this beautiful place. The view from the apartment is outstanding and the environment is quintessentially Italian, with beautiful olive groves and terracotta-rooved houses. Walking around the area (warning - it's hilly) is extremely pleasant, with winding paths and roads offering scenic surprises around every turn. Torri del Benao, just down the hill from the apartment, is spectacular. The harbour is a beautiful place for just sitting and watching the world go by, or eating fabulous food, or strolling and shopping, which is particularly pleasant on market days. Ferries to other parts of the lake are a great way to travel and the trips offer more stunning scenery and entertainments. Best of all, though, is the Doria family who own this accommodation. Their hospitality is outstanding and they are genuinely lovely people. They offer the lucky traveller an experience of the magical warmth of this wonderful part of Italy. I would return to this place at any opportunity.
