La Tourelle - Centre historique de Rennes

The apartment was great, clean and comfortable. However, the coffee machine didn’t work, and the two flights up to the apartment were narrow and a little rickety. Luckily my husband and I could bring our luggage up with some difficulty, but anyone who has any mobility issues or isn’t very strong might have some difficulties.

La Tourelle The place is so stylish. We welcomed by Lahna who was very sweet and friendly. Well equipped kitchen, felt like home. As the most reviews a little bit noisy during the weekend nights when we were there. Other than that it’s perfect place to be Rennes.

La Tourelle I stayed at this wonderful apartment for two weeks while in Rennes for work. The apartment was perfect! Very clean, well appointed with everything you'll need for cooking basics. All of the listed amenities were included and worked perfectly. It was great having the washing machine for such an extended stay. The location is also really perfect! It's about a three minute walk to the St. Anne metro stop and less than 10 minutes from Republique in the town center. I read a couple of reviews mentioning noise and a small shower. Honestly, you should expect a bit of noise if you're choosing a location in the city center, and small showers are just how it is in European apartments. It wasn't an issue for me at all. The check-in/check-out was seamless. Linda met me at the property at our scheduled time for check-in. She was very proactive and communicative. She showed me the apartment and walked me through a few procedures. Self check-out was easy. Everything was AMAZING!

We are grateful for the property manager’s assistance checking into the apartment. She was very gracious. The space was spotless and everything looked as in the listing photos. The location is excellent if you want to be in the middle of everything. Note that this is a second floor apartment and the stairway has a lot of character. If you have trouble with balance or stairs, find a different place to stay.

La Tourelle Lovely decor and spacious but very noisy outside every night with people out drinking ? Very nicely decorated unit with a lot of windows and a plenty of room for 2 people, spacious living and dining area. Very central location in historic Rennes. We almost enjoyed staying here, however it gets noisy at night. ? We stayed for a week and there are drunk people outside shouting every night until 3 am, except Monday night. Then beeping trucks start arriving at 5am. We were not able to sleep well because of the noise. We couldn't close the windows because it is warm during summer. We requested for a fan, but it was denied. A few additional notes: there is no dishwasher, and the dishes are washed by the previous tenant, consider re-washing before use. Unit is on the second floor and there is no elevator. Since there is no AC, leaving windows open lets flies (bugs) into the space, this is normal in the region.
