• The ensuite (Primary) bathroom is a spa-like retreat with a double sink, walk-in double shower with steam function, body jets, and a rain shower head. Our tankless system ensures you won’t run out of hot water!

• Bedroom 2 is off the kitchen and offers a Queen bed, workspace, a library of children’s books, wardrobe, and a 43” smart 4K TV. These second bathroom is located off the living room, through the kitchen.

• Your kitchen is a chef’s dream, with a 5-burner Wolf gas range, Viking dishwasher, Viking Fridge with an inside water dispenser, Subzero wine fridge, a spacious island with seating, and a custom reclaimed oak wood dining table with banquette seating.

• The living room invites you to cozy up by the gas fireplace, visit the mini-pub (complete with a sink, and barstools), enjoy the 65” 4K Smart TV, PS4, and 5.1 surround sound system with B&W speakers. Additionally, there’s a pull-out couch with a Queen-size memory foam mattress and two comfortable arm chairs.

• The second bathroom is a sanctuary with a soaker tub for relaxation.

• The Laundry Room is outfitted with a large LG front-load washer, dryer and utility sink.

GUEST ACCESS

As you step into the property, you’ll immediately encounter the courtyard. This area is primarily yours, except when someone briefly passes through to access the main house. Other things to note
There is someone living upstairs, and as the house is almost 100 years old, you might hear a footstep or a creak.

Thermostat for the heat and A/C are controlled through a central system upstairs. Settings are kept at a comfortable temperature in your space, (you can open/close the air vents in the bedrooms, living room and entry). If you would like the settings adjusted just let us know. For heat, there’s additionally a fireplace in the living room and floor heat in the bathrooms and the kitchen.

There are security cameras around the exterior of the property and record 24 hours. There is a camera in the private patio which will remain off during your stay. No surveillance in interior spaces.

    Beautiful, cozy, and warm. We had a delightful stay. Grocery two blocks away, tonnes of shops nearby, but still a slower, residential vibe. The hosts were fantastic, from early check-in to treats left for our family. We appreciated every aspect of our stay. Our only regret is that we weren’t staying longer!

    First, I am not a person who normally leaves reviews, and second, this was our first home stay experience. We had a family wedding to attend in the heart of Kitsilano for our son. Even 9 months prior to the wedding every hotel within a reasonable distance of Kitsilano was fully booked. And we needed room for six! When we started looking online, Kool Kits jumped out at us as a great option. And is sure was. The reviews are very reflective of what we experienced ourselves. Our family had an absolute adventure of a lifetime at the wedding and we had everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, we could ask for here for our stay. The space is set up so you can spread out and have some privacy with several couples or a family. The bathrooms are super clean and tidy and well appointed. Other wedding guests who stopped by Kool Kits were all saying “Wow!” and “Our place isn’t this nice!”. The location was perfect for all of the wedding venues we attended in Kitsilano, Granville Island and UBC Campus. Shopping (and Starbucks) is a few blocks away. When the grandbabies start coming, we will be coming and staying here again! So, little anecdote for you. It rained most of the time over the wedding festivities, which did not damper spirits at all, and we had a ball with “the umbrella thing”. Umbrellas kept disappearing and reappearing and we added some from the wedding party to make sure we left more than disappeared. If you do come, leave an umbrella behind for the next folks to have fun!

    Excellent property, it was very clean and very inviting with all the conveniences of home. It’s a 10 minute walk to broadway st and a 45 minute walk to Granville Isle. It’s 15 minutes by Uber to Stanley Park. We loved our stay. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Vancouver.

    Demitri and Jessica have created a beautiful, homey space in Kitslano. The home had everything anyone could need. The location was within a quick walk to many restaurants and cafes. The beach was also very close by and the walk through the neighborhood is peaceful and I’m missing it now. I would definitely stay here again. The check in and check out instructions were thorough and helpful. Loved our stay here!

    The place is immaculate, quiet, perfect temperature. Beds are comfortable and bedrooms are dark so slept really well. House has many small but appreciated touches-tissue boxes, wine bottle, snacks, condiments and spices in kitchen. Excellent communication from hosts. walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

    Wonderful hosts, impressive property with lots of cool updates and amenities not typical for any of the many locations at which we have stayed. Great location with 5-15 minute access to almost everything in the city! Will definitely stay there again on next trip(s).
