This cosy, centrally located apartment is only a 5-minute walk from the train station in the family-friendly, car-free mountain village and ski resort of Wengen.



This apartment is centrally located and is about 500 metres walk from Wengen train station. And the grocery stores, bakery, tourist office, sports shops, cable car station and nursery ski slopes are all within a few minutes walk away. So access to mountain hiking trails and ski areas is practically on your doorstep!



From the lovely upstairs balcony, you can admire a magnificent view of the Jungfrau, Wengen and the surrounding area.



This 78m² duplex apartment has 2 bedrooms and a capacity for 4 people.

The master bedroom has a king-size double bed (160 x 200cm) and is on the lower floor. The large second bedroom has a bunk bed and is on the upper, open floor. There are two bathrooms; the upper one with a shower and one on the lower floor with a bathtub.



The accommodation has an open plan kitchen equipped with a ceramic stovetop, electric fan-assisted oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, small freezer, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, mixer and milk frother, as well as crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, fondue and raclette set. There is a washing machine in the apartment and a clothes drying rack. The open-plan living area has two comfy sofas, six chairs and an extendable wooden table (140-180cm). There is all you need to make it easy to cook, relax and entertain in your own private space!



In addition, the apartment has free WiFi internet, a widescreen cable smart TV, radio and garden furniture on the upstairs balcony with a comfy 2- and 3-seater lounge set. The apartment has under-floor central heating. And there is an iron, an ironing board, two hair dryers and a fan.

What you should know...



There is a washing machine in the apartment and a clothes drying rack.

To access the apartment, you will need to ascend three flights of stairs: one exterior flight and two interior flights.

There is indoor ski storage available in a private locker in the chalet basement.



Although Wengen is a car-free mountain village, arriving by car is straightforward. There is a multi-storey car park (paid) next to Lauterbrunnen train station with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. From there, it is an 11-minute scenic mountain train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes during the day and every 60 minutes from 21:30 until 02:00 AM. Taxis/luggage transport is available for hire at Wengen train station if required.



As part of your booking, a mandatory non-refundable damage waiver of CHF 35 is required. This waiver offers you protection against accidental damage during your stay, ensuring peace of mind without the need for a traditional refundable security deposit.

    The view was amazing, the balcony was spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, and the service was great. The bunkbeds were noisy, and the balcony was not clean when we entered the apt.

    We had a great stay at Kinohaus 3. The apartment met all our needs as a family of four, including that there were some games and activities in the kids room. The downstairs level is quite dark, but the stunning view from the terrace upstairs more than makes up for it (even in bad weather the view can be quite gorgeous). My only suggestion would be to move the bunk bed downstairs and have the master bedroom upstairs, as upstairs is an ensuite with a shower, the bathtub is downstairs, there is no door on the upstairs bedroom, and it is reached by slotted stairs - so all in all it felt like it would make a lot more sense to have the kids bedroom downstairs! Check-in was smooth, the location in town was excellent, we would happily stay with Wengen Apartments again.

    The kinohaus 3 is a spacious 2 storey apartment centrally located off the Main Street in Wengen( it is not in Lauterbrunnen as indicated on the website). Access is up a metal stairway and the apartment is on the top floor. The apartment has two lovely bedrooms and a lovely lounge . The decor is modern and the kitchen is fully equipped with lots of extras . Our family of four spent a very comfortable week and the bath was a lovely extra after a long ski day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the kinohaus 3 to any prospective visitor with the exception perhaps of those with mobility problems .

    The view and location can not be beat! The only thing that I can think of is having furs, real or not, for sitting on the balcony on a chilly day.

    This is the perfect place to stay for your vacation in Wengen! The location is excellent (walking distance from everywhere in Wengen) and the views are amazing! The staff at Wengen Apartment Rentals were so pleasant to work with, especially Julie. It was nice to meet the people at the rental office that I had been communicating with. All communication was easy and my inquiries were answered quickly. The check-in and check-out processes were easy. The apartment itself is perfect for 4 people. It is well stocked, modern, well taken care of and reasonably priced. The staff were very much hands on and attentive. They are committed to making sure everyone’s stay is a wonderful experience. We want to go back during ski season and stay at Kinohaus 3 again. I highly recommend this rental and booking with Wengen Apartment Rentals.

    The apartment is nice and cosy and well equipped. The kids loved the box with games available for guests. The two bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. It is very comfortable, easy to ventilate and warm in winter. The balcony has a dining table and chairs and a relaxing sofa - we enjoyed our lunches there (even in winter), to watch the view with the mountains and gondola and fresh air. Very close to the gondola and train station. The living room has little direct daylight. It's nice and cosy but also a bit dark. The top room (with the bunk bed) is spacious and has lots of daylight - we preferred that room and the balcony during the short moments we were home during the day.
